Pours a clear, copper color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong spice (cinnamon, and nutmeg), slight pumpkin, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and a hint of hop. Fits the style of a Pumpkin Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of slight pumpkin, strong spice (cinnamon and nutmeg), sweet malt, hint of spice, and a hint of yeast. Overall, weak appearance, but strong aroma, body, and good blend.

This one pours a very light bodied bright copper in color with a one finger off white head. The aromas are very sweet and full of spice. It has the generic pumpkin vibe and is kind of syrupy sweet. The flavors again are all spice, a lot of cinnamon and nutmeg with a moderate amount of sweetness and a somewhat artificial pumpkin flavor. It's ok but doesn't really resemble pumpkin pie or anything like some other pumpkin beers do. It drinks very light and smooth. For being a lager I expected it to be a little more crisp. The flavor is decent but overall this one doesn't compare to other pumpkins.

Appearance: hazy orange in color with a one finger head. Some light lacing paints the glass.

Smell: cinammon and other spices are most notable, with some caramel sweetness in the background.

Taste: light caramel, cinammon, nutmeg, and some pumpkin flavors are balanced with some mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel: light crispness to start, smoother towards the end. SHort-lived aftertaste. Lighter side of a medium bodied beer.

Drinkability: this one is not fake in flavor like some other pumpkin beers, and with this being a lager is a lighter and somewhat refreshing. Worth trying this one.

Picked up a single bottle for a couple bucks at Princeton Liquors. The beer looked great after pouring - clear pumpkin orange with a tall white head. The aroma and flavor are heavily spice, like most beers in the style, but not over the top. It can be a bit hard to pick out the pumpkin in between the nutmeg and cinnamon, but it's here with a creamy candy pie taste. It reminds me of a slightly better Jack's Pumpkin Spice from A-B. All in all, a respectable pumpkin ale, but it could use more actual pumpkin flavor.

The beer pours a dark golden/amber color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a very intense pumpkin scent along with an equally intense cinnamon aroma. The taste is decent as well. It has a dry, pilsner and light crystal malt taste with a huge pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. It's nothing great for sure. It's just lots of fruit and a very dry finish. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a pretty good pumpkin beer, although they should back down the fruit flavor and add some nutmeg.

Poured a light bright copper hue with a one finger creamy white head. There was good retention and decent lacing.

The smell featured elements of pumpkin flesh and rind with some cinnamon and nutmeg.

The taste consisted of some upfront pumpkin spices with a mild sweetness. Some grainy malts as well. The flavor was a bit weak for the style however.

The mouthfeel was toward the thinner side with an awkward creaminess at the finish.

Overall a decent spiced pumpkin lager. It seems to me that the fuller body of an ale is better suited for the style.

Pours a hazy peachy copper with a white fizzy foam that retains well. Light aroma of pumpkin spices and bready lager yeast. In the taste, crispness of lager yeast upfont, spices mid palate, and finishes with pumpkin flavor. Light cinnamon and allspice. Crisp, solid pumpkin lager.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated 08/14/14. Sampled on Feb. 28, 2015 so this is a bit old.

The pour is a slightly hazy amber orange with a quick lasting white head.

This is what I don't get. Yup, pumpkin spices on the nose but there is also a full cherry or juicy fruitiness in the picture too. It little spice It might be because this is 5 months old that it comes across this way.

Light to medium body.

As for the taste, the pumpkin spices seem emerged in the cherry or juicy fruitiness. Again, it could be due to the past-freshness of this bottle.

A slightly vigorous pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a fat, three-finger thick, pale tan colored head that sits atop a brilliantly clear, reddish, copper colored beer. The beer is obviously spiced with the typical pumpkin pie spices as the aroma even as I pour it is quite redolent of cinnamon, nutmeg and perhaps a touch of ginger. A deeper sampling of the aroma yields nothing more than these spices and perhaps a touch of dusty malt.

Fairly dry, with perhaps a hint of sweetness that just peeks through a tart spice character. Spice flavors of nutmeg & cinnamon dominate, but there is perhaps a touch of character that might be attributed to pumpkin, but only just barely. There is a ginger note noticeable in the finish as well as a slightly astringent spice bitterness. Crystal malt contributed caramelized sugar flavors and a medium / light malt fullness help convey the pumpkin pie analogy a bit further.

This is certainly an enjoyable version of a Pumpkin beer, and it does have actually have some pumpkin flavor to it, despite the slightly heavy handed spicing. This is a touch richer, and a bit more like desert that say something like Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin ale, but it still is to light to really be anywhere near representative of pie in a glass.

12 oz. bottle,

A: Pours a hazy, but bright orange, with a thick white head which stays for the whole glass, fair lacing.

S: Smells of pumpkin and spices, as expected, quite fragrant, actually.

T: Full flavour of pumpkin and spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and all-spice. A little on the artificial side, but overall, one of the better pumpkin beers I have ever had.

M: Light, smooth, needs a little more body.

D: Overall, very good. We don't get many pumpkin beers here in the Southland, so it was nice to see another one, and a good one to boot.

Edit (10/2/11) - Had this one much fresher, some I'm upping some scores.
