Just too light for me. The only thing I really like about this beer and the reason I gave it a chance is 100% of the ingredients are local to WI.

Aroma is the best thing here and it's just a milder version of its Bavarian cousins. Body is a bit thin as is appearance. I saw no hefetrub and so that component was missing from the flavor.

Bottle looks to be notched "Mar Wk2" so its about 3 months from that date.

Drank a Dancing Man right before this, might be a little biased as a result.

Clear gold before pouring the yeast in, it has a couple fingers of creamy white foam on the surface. After pouring the yeast it sits in a stationary layer for awhile below the foam before swirling it in... never have seen that before.

Smells minerally and wheaty, not much in the way of traditional yeast esters.

Astringent feel, like club soda at first. Flavor has very little depth to it. Wheat, bread, not much else. Lacks flavor, aroma, and the smooth mouthfeel that is a hallmark of a good hefe. Pass.

12 oz bottle with only the WK3 marked on the label, but certainly from 2013.

Pours hazy golden with a towering, and over-zealous head that quickly dies to a top coat.

Somewhat unappealing aroma, although this is my usual reaction to this style. There's less over-ripe banana and more lemon here than usual, but still a bit of barnyard and too much soapy floral aroma. The smell did not improve with warming.
The taste is better, with mainly a tart citrus-wheat flavor.

Lively carbonation in fairly light bodied beer.

O: a 100% Wisconsin beer that is a little distinctive. Worth a try if you usually like saisons.

Poured into a stemmed ale glass. The head EXPLODED excessively to five fingers. Could not pour the entire bottle in several tries. Tried drinking it from the bottle with the same results. Too much carbonation. Once it settled the taste was rather refreshing if you could get past the foaming.

A: Pours a cloudy light golden color with a small head that fades rather quickly with nominal lacing.

S: Aroma of banana & cloves, mild citrus and not much else.

T: Taste of banana, cloves mild citrus with a bit of malt and spice in the background. Has a gritty bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

F: Fairly light body, a bit coarse and grainy.

O: Comes across as a bit too sweet. Not a beer I would seek out.
