Appearance is a slightly reddish-copper with a finger of head that dissipated quickly but left some nice lacing behind. There is a touch of hops and a slight citrusy aroma but overall, the nose is quite muted. The malt backbone is definitely sturdy and the hop bitterness, while light for a DIPA, blends well with the malt flavor. The finish is pleasantly dry. The body is on the lighter side for style.

Bomber bottle, w/o freshness info being offered.

Pours darker amber, lighter khaki head that stays nicely and leaves decent low thicker bands of lace.

Bready/malty nose, with a hint of pine lingering in the rear.

Palate follows the nose, with again ample bready malts and more of a back note of hops. Caramel, light pine and moderate sweetness carry this one through the finish. Decent if slightly sweet DIPA.

(4.00) A: Cranberry coloring, with a 2 finger beach-sand, foamy textured head that is well lasting. Slow, lazy rise of carbonation with very good lace coverage on the vessel with meaty deposits and small windows.

(3.35) S: Fresh grapefruit juice, apple with a hint of pear initially. Aroma goes from wet with a light fruity touch, to a lightly dry caramelized citrus and onion hopping.

(3.60) T: Flavor was caramelized lemon citrus, pine with a hint of grassy onion. Flavor feels a bit light substance wise at first. Peppery-apple, hints of buttered caramel bread sweetness with underlying notes of toasted tropical fruit.

(3.60) M: Mouthful feels milky, medium body with a warming of citrus-onion glow on the inner cheeks. Lingering hoppy toasted fade.

(3.60) O: Overall good, caramelized tropical fruitiness with some peppery-pine hopping. Unique flavor/hop combination, light malt backing, Interesting, one that is perhaps a bit better the first time when deconstructed and analyzed, but perhaps falls a bit expectation wise in multiples and later drinkings. good for a try, impressive visual, unique hop combination.

Appearance: It has a nice dark orange/amber color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately and leaves some lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of light citrus, some pine and sweet bready/caramelly malts.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a sweet bready malts, toffee, caramel, light pine and faint citrus. Not exciting.

Mouthfeel: It has a low carbonation with a light and watery overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas but where are the hops? Seriously?

22oz Bomber with no freshness date.

Pours a beautiful dark amber color with brilliant clarity. Head is about a finger and a half following a medium pour and is cream colored.

Aroma is on the tame side for a Double IPA. Caramel Malts, Minty/Leafy hops, subtle sweetness, and a kiss of grapefruit and pine in there as well.

Follows the nose pretty closely. I'm getting a solid malt backbone with a caramel/toffee sweetness right up front. I'm getting resinous pine and mint from the hop bill. there's some nice lingering bitterness as well.

Mouthfeel is on the creamy side for an IPA.

Overall, I like this beer. It's certainly much better than Hop Hog in my opinion. You certainly won't be blown away with citrus and tropical notes, but the 3 strains of New Zealand hops lend some interesting flavors. More of a balanced East Coast IPA here, but I enjoyed it. Cheers!
