P- Market Cross Pub in Carlisle

Bottle irs really cool looking. I am wondering why it isnt posted on here.

A- Pours a claer fire orange color. somewhat clear yet opaque at the same time. Its a deep fire orange color maybe.

S- spicy malts and floral hops. i can also get clove and/or anise. I might be mistaken but it has a very spicy aroma.

T- german malts mixed with floral hops and i think that is a pumpkin spice in there as well. It is very unique. I also think there is anise as well or some spice to that effect.

M- spicy and an explosion of malts and hops. Very intriguing and interesting. I dont know if i like it or not.

D- seems to be a good session beer. This would be good for when you are our raking leaves and need a cold one.

Beer presents a clear amber visage, without much to foam to speak of. Mostly malt in the nose, bread and caramel. Rolls across the palate fairly well. Toasted, slightly sweet malt flavors upfront. A bitterness, along with a prickly carbonation, rise toward the end providing some nice balance.

A fine and drinkable, but not outstanding, beer

L: Light golden brown with a small ring of lacing.
S: Lightly toasted malt.
T: Slightly sweet, very malty and bready.
F: Just right: on the thinner side but really smooth.

light amber color, moderate off white head. Fairly tame with some mild grainy malt and a little hint of caramel. Very smooth and drinkable - somewhere between a classic marzen and the lighter versions produced by the Munich breweries for the Octoberfest. It probably falls more on the commercial side of mass-market Octoberfest, but it is unfair of me to compare it to the cream of the crop. Do it if the price is right.

Golden colored beer with average aroma. The taste is sweet with an aftertaste of what I think is pumpkin. No bitterness and nothing to offend any of the senses.I would buy this product again and recommend this to all my friends.I am eager to try other beers from this brewery!!

Served on tap just the other night at Ale Mary's in Baltimore. Poured the expected nutty brown with a decent half finger of off white foam. Light malt aroma.
Nice chewy malty brew, not overly complex and virtually nonexistent hops. Finished clean and a little dry. Went well with several different foods.

This made it quite drinkable. Though not on par with the Germans overall, it was still worth several.

12oz bottle from Octoberfest sampler poured into a pilsner glass.

A: Burnt oragne color with a 1/2 inch off white head. Light hue for the marzen style.

S: Good German malts, caramel first and foremost. Seek em out and you find some bitterness from the hops. Overall, average to moderate sweetness.

T: German flavors here. Warming, nice but average across the board. There is a solid burnt smokiness becoming apparent as it warmed.

M: Pretty thin texture. Awfully smooth and a nnice spicy bite out of nowhere.

D: High drinkability if not a bit average and run of the mill. Nice surprises here and there but not a bad job by Lancaster. Its well rounded and holds its own.

6.5% on the Lancster Brewing website....Poured into a pint glass...

A: Beautiful pour! Clear copper with a nice three finger creamy tan head! Nice carbonation creeping up the glass as well.

S: Smell is of sour caramel surprisingly. A very sour smell that caught me off guard. There is also a metallic hint in the nose as well.

T: Very interesting sour caramel as well. The sourness really hits you hard here with a tad of metal in the taste as well, but that is minor. Otherwise, the caramel taste is nice, but the German hops I was expecting were not there.

Overall, an interesting Oktoberfest that comes with an interesting sour malt flavor
