Don’t have much information on this beer. No other name but “Alt”. Enjoyed a pint of this at the Grey Lodge. This looked wonderful – bright and clear and orange-amber in color. Topped off with a creamy one inch head of white foam that clung nicely to the glass. The smell is intriguing - not your typical Alt - more like a spicy and dry pale ale. Floral and grassy hops are evident – maybe even like a SN pale ale. The taste is very nice, with a light but solid malt body and a soft but evident grassy hop bitterness. This beer finishes soft and very clean. Highly drinkable. This is a winner.

This arrived with a thin, white head that had a low retention. It was a deep amber color with a sweet, flowery nose. I got a really good, hoppy taste from it, accompanied by a pleasant mouthfeel. The finish had a light maltiness to it, but it ended on a dry note.
I will unabashedly admit that this is my favorite beer currently in the LNC BC inventory and my principal motivation in writing reviews - I wanted to get at least twenty (20) so that I could add this one to the site. This posting marks the culmination of my effort. Cheers!

Copper colored body, with ample carbonation and a clingy, loose head of an inch that fades to lace. Smell is of sweet malt and some lively bitterness from the hops used. Remarkably different in its taste, this Altbier seems to separate itself from the American takes that invariably end up closer to weird ESBs. Sweet carmel flavors at times a little thick dominate the malts but there is a piney bitterness that lends a very fresh hop taste to come on strong in the finish. A little spicey hop taste also, must be Saaz. Clean and dry end. Nicely rounded and easily drinkable, this is a very nice beer from LBC.
