12 ounce bottle poured into a PGC Sparkles mug.

Appearance: Black coffee in color, with a generous three fingers of dense, tan foam.

Smell: Boozy, sweet, chocolaty, rich, like Hershey's syrup spiked with bourbon.

Taste: Creamy and sweet, like a roasted marshmallow. There's a sharp, woody, and oddly cooling flavor, like hookah smoke, that has a strong presence throughout. The milkiness makes this much more mild and easy-drinking than a standard, or much less, an imperial, stout. Aftertaste is a bit cloying, but that's nothing that another sip won't take care of! Very quaffable.

Mouthfeel: The milkiness is most detectable here; it has that smooth, creamy quality you can only get from milk. Very fizzy too.

Overall: Tasty stuff, nice and easygoing. Not too high of an ABV for a stout either, at 5.30%, so I say fill a big tankard, and have a relaxing night!

The appearance was a nice looking hazy fairly dark brown to black color with a thin layer of white foaminess to the head. The smell had a nice roasty to sweet blend of chocolate to coffee. The taste was mainly sweet with an ample amount of roasty sweet coffee to chocolate intermingling between. There’s a slight sweet milky chocolate aftertaste leading to a sweet sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. There’s a nice carbonation to the beer. Overall, I say this was a pretty good sweet stout that I would have again.

Black in color. Aroma was not overpowering but roasted barley malt and milk chocolate came though. Taste followed aroma almost identically with a bit of a feint hop finish. I enjoyed it a lot and would try it again

12oz bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours deep black in color with a one-finger foamy off-white head that has short retention and leaves nothing behind

S- roasted malt, char, milk sugars, chocolate & earthy coffee

T- starts rather dull, with flavors not popping until the mid-palate, giving notes of sweet lactose and chocolate. The finish is semi-dry with a hint of coffee and lingers of milky chocolate

M- medium-light body with low carbonation leads to an almost flat mouthfeel that turns just a bit foamy into the finish

O- pretty good milk stout but the mouthfeel is almost flat

L - yep, that's black. Coursely bubbled head that quickly and loudly dissipates. It is black tho.

S - lactose sweetness and a roasty coffee brown flavor. Burnt popcorn.

T - iced latte sweetness. Coffee with milk and sugar. Can't shake this buttered burnt popcorn taste.

F - standard fare. Medium body with medium carbonation.

O - they should call this "Lancaster Burnt Popcorn". I may be a bit roasty toasty right now, but that's all I can taste.

Really good beer. Not overly sweet but a full flavor. It's super dark and beautiful.
