A: Very clear amber. Forms a small white head that reduces down quickly to a ring around the glass. No lacing.

S: Smells of carbonation, grains, and corn. There is also a very light, almost imperceptible, scent of a slightly sweet artificial strawberry.

T: Very lightly flavored. A little bit of sweet malt. A lot of club soda. Some artificial strawberry on the finish.

M: Light bodied with heavy carbonation. Carbonation is so heavy it tickles the tongue.

D: While this beer is not very good, it's saving grace is the fact that the flavor and aroma are very light as I could only imagine how bad this beer would be if it actually tasted like something.

There is not a lot to say about this one. Very little strawberry flavor is able to get through a very weak wheat beer. No aroma, no complexity, no second chance. And to make is worse, this was on tap at the brewery, I can't imagine how nondescript it must be from a bottle.

This fruit beer is for fans of light beers and no desire to drink a real beer. Weak in every way.

The false strawberry flavor permeates but is not even strong enough to mask the ultra weak wheat style. A boring garbage beer that never comes into its own flavor. So light and so nothing.

Pours a gently cloudy, amber-tinged yellow with some thinner wheat highlights. The head appears thinner and matted, egg shell white. Crackling and effervescent, it recedes quickly.

Sweet, husky grain and lightly toasted, buttered wheat bread. Hints of phenol and a definite candy-like strawberry aroma.

Up front, it's decidedly sweet with lots of doughy biscuit and somewhat bland wheatiness. The butter phenol flavor pokes through and doesn't mesh well with what one would expect to be a brighter fruit note. However the strawberry is mellow and again very candy-like. The strawberry comes across as less than authentic; like the strawberry flavored milk or those gummy strawberries found in penny candy.

Mildly crisp up front but quickly fading to a very fluffy, dim finish that all but dies on the palate. The modest ABV would indicate a decently drinkable beer but in this case I can't see myself enjoying more than one without the strawberry marshmallow notes becoming burdening. Worth a try, but that's about it for me.

Pours a pinkish orange yellow with a white head that fades fast. Smell is malty with some sweet notes, not much going on there. The flavor is malt, no hops, with some sweet strawberry flavor. It starts sweet and ends with a strawberry finish. The mouthfeel is medium, nicely carbonated. Even though the flavor isn't complex the mouthfeel is good. This one is an easy drinker, the flavor isn't annoying, good for summer.

Looked a lot like the color of new motor oil (certainly not the consistency of oil - let's be clear on that!), with an immediate 1 1/2" head that went away pretty quick.

Smelled a little of strawberry, but the strawberry smell was quickly overwhelmed with the more traditional smells of a wheat beer.

Unimpressive taste, as the strawberry taste itself tasted more like candy corn, and had a syrupy back taste. If you took out the strawberry taste, it probably wouldn't have been too bad - I'll have to try some unflavored Lancaster offerings.

Mouth feel was a bit watery but held a decent amount of carbonation

Not exceedingly drinkable, but mainly due to my disappointment in the lack of a good demure fruit beer taste, like that of my favorite blueberry beers. Probably better than Pete's but I still won't rush out to buy more in the near future.

Poured out into a pilsner glass. looks clear and amber or a red gold. smells very faintly of strawberries but more funky than anything else. i think this is the combo of the wheat and some citrus which is surprising as it's supposed to be strawberry.

tastes watery with some wheat beer going on. not getting much strawberry.

mouthfeel is a bit watery.

underwhelming, but still drinkable.

A- Pours a deep gold with no head and a lot of carbonation.
S- No beer smells at all. Just sweet strawberry, not overpowering or sickening.
T- Just okay. The strawberry flavor comes through a bit. Almost tastes like cream soda.
MD-This beer is very easy to drink, but I probably will not look for it again.
This was a BOTM selection.

A - Clear amber with a strawberry tint. Pours a white head with good lacing.
S - Strawberry jam. Odors you'd expect from a sour beer... gym sock?
T - This is not good. Watered down strawberry kool-aid. Little to no wheat flavor, maybe even a bit malty.
M - Carbonation is high, but appropriate. Good mouthfeel.
D - Drinkability severely hampered by the terrible taste.

Pours an orangish-amber into a pint glass with very little foam. Smell is very faint - a little bit of strawberry, and not much else. The taste, however, is just fantastic. The wheat beer flavor is at the forefront, but the strawberry smooths it out wonderfully. It's not overly sweet, nor is it entirely fruit-foreward like some other fruit beers (i.e. New Glarus.) A surprising find, and worth a try if you see it.

Pours a hazy golden body with orange hues and a thin, frothy white head that sits atop the beer for sometime before subsiding to almost no lacing.

So far, I'm pleasantly surprised with only traditional wheat aromatics and perhaps only a faint presence of what seems to be authentic strawberry.

The strawberry is much more present in the flavor and again coupled with a pale wheat flavor with just a touch of hops in the background.

This beer is light and body and medium in carbonation with a very crisp finish.

Although my familiarity with the fruit beer category is limited, this beer was a nice surprise in that the strawberry was a compliment and not the feature. Certainly a crisp summertime brew.

Served on tap into my huge mug of doom.

A- pours a light amber with a one finger slightly offwhite head. Uneventful pour.

S- there is a weak aroma of strawberries...I do like how you get the scent by taking a whiff without getting choked up by it. Regardless, its weak.

T- slight taste of strawberry on the first sip that lingers after the swallow. The aftertaste is more tasty than the initial taste. I'm getting some malt there too. Not nearly as cloyingly sweet as in the bottle.

M- decent feel. Theres almost a little bit of wateryness to it, but at the same time, the malt gives it some body.

D- this is a lot more drinkable on tap than in the bottle. The flavors are a lot more subtle...very nice. If you had it in the bottle and thought it was too sweet, try a draft...seems like a totally different beer

I'm not a big fan of fruit beers, but have found a few that I've liked. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

A: Nice amber color. Poured a head that very quickly disolved into nothing leaving no trace.

S: Smells a bit like a mass-produced American lager, but with an odd sweetness.

T: More like a lager than a wheat. Metalic. Sweet finish. Very mild, strawberry syrup taste. Metalic aftertaste. (Wife couldn't even taste the strawberry - said it tasted "like beer", aluminum.)

M: Light, carbonated feel.

D: I wouldn't drink a second.

Not much to like with this beer.

Received in a recent BOTMC club offering. Usually not a fan of fruit beers, but some are quite surprising, let's give it a whirl. Popping the top yields a lager-like smell with tarty but sweet fruity smell. Pours into a stemless red wine glass with a bronze colour with a twinge of red. Taste is hearty and wheaty with a light strawberry fruitiness in the middle and and a sweeter fizzy finish. Again not my favorite style, but rating for the style it's not offending and is actually quite drinkable. Good summer beer, crisp and sweeter. Not something I would seek out, but no problem finishing this one.

Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger head which gives way to moderate lacing. The aroma is of strawberries and a hint of wheat. The taste is of a slightly fake strawberry taste, but it isn't unpleasant. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation. Overall it is a good, drinkable beer. The strawberry is a nice change of pace taste and is refreshing. I can't see someone being turned off by the taste, but it is more of a gimmick than a session beer.

A - Pours crystal clear with a small head that fades quickly. There can't be much wheat in this beer with such poor head retention.

S - Some caramel malt with a hint of artificial strawberry smell.

T - Tastes like a light lager mixed with Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. A little toasted grain flavor which is not unpleasant but it is all overwhelmed with a tart and artificial strawberry flavor.

M - Crisp, clean, until the tartness makes you pucker.

D - Not very drinkable unless you are desperate for a "beer".

A nice neighbor lady gave this to me. So of course I had to try it... heh.

Pours a medium amber with a nice head. The head dissipates quickly, but alot of carbonation remains.

The nose is faint strawberry and caramel.

Taste is a nice blend of malt and strawberry. Alot of times fruit beers can be overdone; but they did a good job on this one. Quite tasty, actually.

Would definitely buy this.

Came with the Beer of the Month Club. Pours hazy amber copper in color with a 2 finger creamy off white head that faded quickly; decent spotty lacing.

Smells of grains, sweet malt, toast, light caramel and faint strawberry; this is a very odd aroma for a wheat beer, especially a fruit and wheat beer. It smells more like oats and toasted grains than a wheat beer.

Tastes of toasted grains, malt, oats and toast up front, followed by a slight sweet strawberry hint, and then a dry finish with a mix of grass, wheat and biscuit. After the flavor fades there is a tart taste like a raspberry or sour apple that lingers with the grainy flavor, and I have to say I didn't really care for the finish.

Mouthfeel is light, smooth and crisp with a slight sour pucker, along with a medium body and very light carbonation.

It's unique and a different beer, but not enjoyable to me. It was not well executed as far as the flavor goes and just didn't do it for me. I plowed through all three that came with the Beer of the Month Club because they were light and drinkable, but again to me they were not enjoyable.

A- Nice amber color. Pinky finger of head, little lacing.

S- Some fruitiness.. strawberrys but not overwhelming.

T- Crisp and malty. Slightly hopped for balance. Pretty malty on the finish. Strawberry flavor tasted added if that makes sense.. which it is.. so maybe that's why :)

M- Crisp, dry with light body.

D- overall pretty good. I usually stray from beers with "flavors added" as opposed to encorporated in the brewing but this was surprisingly good. I wouldn't say great.. but I won't kick it out of bed for farting!

Got this in a BotM shipment, though I'd had it a few times before.

Pours a clear, light copper with a finger of white head & plenty of nucleation. Sheets of lacing.

Decent smell of strawberry flavoring, kind of like Frankenberry cereal or Strawberry Quik--not bad, though. A little bit of the musty smell found in a lot of Euro lagers, but just a little.

Taste, again, reminds me of some cereal with strawberries in it. A little sharp & even citrusy at first, kind of a flat lemon taste, that sweetens & brings in some strawberry, banana, & grains. Ends up like the aftertaste of cereal, kind of sugary, kind of creamy without actually feeling that way. Some flintiness in the aftertaste.

Thin-bodied, with a little carbonation punch.

The strawberry flavor's a little fake-tasting, but I really don't mind that -- I almost wish it were stronger to kind of dominate & say "Here I am!" rather than mingling with the flinty & grainy aspects. My expectations weren't terribly high going in, so I'd say it met them. Decent, a good enough drinker once in a while. It wouldn't kill me to have another.

Presentation - Poured into River Horse pint glass

Appearance - Pale, amber coloured body, white head, good lacing

Smell - Strawberries

Taste - Strawberries with a good amount of maltiness, with hoppiness only there to provide balance

Mouthfeel - Light, refreshing

Drinkability - Sessionable

Overall - A great fruit beer for those summer days and those times when you need a break.

A: Light straw in color, with a very nice amount of just off white head on top. fairly clear and looks delicious.

S: Strawberry preserves right up front. Sweet with a very mild earthy undertone. Quite refreshing.

T: Less strawberry than in the smell. Slightly tart berry flavor followed by a dry biscuit like flavor. Slightly tart in the finish. Slightly earthy in a way that I don't really enjoy.

M: Light body, fairly high carbonation, what I would expect for the style.

D: Not really my bag.. a little too light for me, and the strawberries really fade in the flavor. Interesting to try though.

blurry transparent peachy amber-yellow with minima head action and no lacing.

slight strawberry note with the sourish wheat. something else emerges like a fermented/fresh piece of fruit....or marinated dried apricots. interesting. a creamy orange popsicle smell. dipped in a hefe...

a sip and the creaminess really comes through nicely. and the strawberry note, tho minimal, makes a stand nicely. it's missing the solid structure that SA Cherry Wheat exhibits, but the fruit flavor is much more enjoyable. and embedded in each swallow. the mouthfeel is perfectly balanced in both carbonation/crispness and smoothness. the finish leaves a nice residue of sparkling strawberry notes. very nice. and unexpected. it's nice to be surprised. i'll enjoy a few of these on a warm spring/summer day soon. i'd love to session this with an alternation of this and the SA Blackberry Witbier!

GOt this thanks to Noslenwerd, another one to try to get my wife to like.

A: Pours a semi creamy 1 finger head that fades semi quickly, and a decent number of bubbles rising from the etch in the bottom of my SA Perfect Pint glass through the semi clear slightly hazy golden orange wheat color.

N: A really light aroma, with some light wheat aromas, slight syrupy sweet malts, hints of fruit with a strawberry undertone, slight ale like crispness with those syrupy malts and lots of wheat.

T: Hmmm, not what I was expecting. It actually has quite a bit of toasty malt flavors. A nice wheat malt, with definite strawberry flavor but the "fruit" isn't over the top. It's more like that strawberry syrup I used to have as a kid that would make strawberry milk. The sweet toasty malt flavors are really nice actually. Quite crisp and refreshing, with some nice sweet malty flavors and hints of sweet strawberry. Reading some of the other reviews it seemed to be over the top in Strawberry with not much malt, so perhaps I got a new batch, or this has been sitting a while (which I'm sure it has) and has mellowed quite a bit.

M: Medium to lighter body, with decent carbonation but could use a little more carbonation, especially for the style.

F: Finishes slighty dry with some of that lingering syrupy malty ale flavor. A little lingering strawberry as well, like strawberry syrup. Otherwise it's mostly clean on the finish, nothing really lingering too long and just lets you get ready for the next sip. I went at this beer with low expectations, but for a beer that is designed to keep clean and crisp and not in your face, they did a decent job.

A: The pour is a light amber color with a thin ring of white foam.

S: What an unappealing nose. Pure sugary sweetness without any discernible strawberry aromas, nor much in the way of wheat.

T: I was not expecting much, given the aromas, but the flavor of this beer is fairly good. A lot of sweet strawberries with a mild tartness on the finish.

M: This one is light in body with a low-to-moderate carbonation.

D: I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this beer, but it is on the sweet side. I couldn't drink much more than a few ounces of this beer, but it's not bad.
