Beautiful copper-amber with a suitable uneven off-white head. Smell is delicate, just a bit of floral and spicy hops. Surprisingly light aroma for as bitter as you discover this beer is. Hops, hops, an more hops; starting resinously bitter and greasy, just slightly grassy in the end. Malt is barely detectable, a great hop bitterness/flavor right up my alley, but a bit much for an APA, nealry and IPA. Hints of diacetyl. Body & CO2 is spot on APA, nothing exciting, but nought to complain of. Drinkability suffers jjust a bit due to the extreme bitterness, but overall a very tasty beer.

Originally reviewed March 23, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Clear dark tan amber pour with great off white head. No aroma (light fruit). Great hops on the front of the brew. Floral, grapefruit and citrus. Cascade hops dominate the flavors, but itÂ’s very much appreciated. Malts even out the back end for a smooth drinkable finish.

Nice mild ale with a small bite. Clear copper color with small silky head. Light hoppy aroma, taste brings more of a bite., but not much. Malts come inat the finish, some caramel. Nice
