Horrible foam, scarce, not existant, and... ugly!
Very carboanted, exaggerated bubbles. Golden amber color.
In the smell malt, heavy, and corn: not good, heavy.
Nothing better in the taste: malt, old hop, and a touch of astringency. Why?
Some more malt in the aftertaste, but nothing.
No sense.

Pours a deep golden color with a white head that obviously has some appointment as it doesn't stick around. The smell is sweet but not overly pleasant.

The taste is just straight average. Nothing too exceptional here. Little hops, but maltiness in the aftertaste.

Not impressed.

Draught at Pivni Galerie, Prague. The beer has a deep golden colour and is served with a low head. Moderate malty and fruity aroma. The flavour is a bit maltier than an average pils. Aftertaste leaves a metallic bitterness which is not entirely pleasant.

Purchased half a flat from a gas station in Rozvadov, Czech after visiting the brewery restaurant in Chodovar Plana; Served from .5L Bottle in a Chodovar glass

A: Bright straw color with a two finger head; dissipated kind of quickly

S: The light cereal odor. Slightly yeasty.

T: The taste is of a typical Bohemian Lager/Bavarian Hell. Regionally, I found the Presidente to be advertised significantly more than Chodovar’s other beers.

M: The medium bodied with a slight carbonation.

D: This is a pretty good beer. Doesn’t have the appeal of the regional Czech pilsners but over-all I can’t say anything negative about it. I’d purchase it again.

Third of a litre at Celle Bierfest.

A: Golden colour, clear, medium sized head, moderate lacing.

S: Slightly nutty, flowery, Parmesan, aroma had to be Saaz.

T: Some nuts gave way to a burst of bittersweetness which was followed by a wheaty finish.

M: Crisp texture, slid down well.

O: Proper Czech Pilsener for a warm day.

Czech lager is synonymous for the "lager" style in general in my view and I haven't come across a real bad lager from the Czech Republic, only good and better ones ...
whereas in the past Pilsner, Budvar and Staropramen were taking the lead in quality, today smaller breweries have much improved and I would say partly overtaken the big 3 ... Chodovar is one of the excellent ones ... "Prezident" is maybe not as memorable as the 13°, nevertheless stands out as a full bodied, full flavor lager ...
