Not expecting much from this one but I have to say it was surprisingly good - maybe cuz I love pilsners I am biased in those terms. I didn't know this was a pilsner until I did a Google search. I was expecting the typical cardboard/flat flavor of a Mexican (Corona) beer but was pleasantly surprised with a nice crisp light refreshing Euro style pilsner. Aroma was malty and non descript but the flavor was decent, carb was about right but did fade a bit fast for my liking. There was a slight hop bite on the finish. I'd buy this any day over the typical American adjunct lagers or run-of-the-mill Mexican beers.

Dope ass 25 oz. can! Love the art work! Pours a nice clear light golden color. Small bit of crackling head dropping into the beer. Lots of visible carbonation.

Smell is bready and a bit sweet. I am guessing sour dough bread when I smell this. There was a hint of grassiness but now I cannot find it.

Tastes like an adjunct lager. There is just a bit more sweetness than other adjunct lagers. The extra sweetness is not overpowering but does add a bit of a unique aspect to the flavor.

Mouth feel is really quite light and finish is crisp.

Overall this is not a bad beer. Definitely different than other Mexican lagers. That extra bit of sweetness is odd at first but than I realized it was adding a bit of an extra layer to the flavor. This beer really makes me want to order pizza. I think this would pair very well with some good pizza or, surprise, Mexican food. If you find it I would take a chance on it. I only paid $1.99 for a 25 oz. can so I gotta say not bad. I really want to uy some more and try some food pairing with this beer. Cheers brothers and sisters!

Easy to drink. A bit better than average mexican mainstream lagers.

25 oz big boy poured into a pint glass for Cinco de Mayo.

L - Pours a clear, dark golden color with a finger of soapy white head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Lots of streaming carbonation.

S - Corn, cereal grain, malt, apple, grassy, on the sweeter side.

T - Much like the nose, a lot of corn/corn syrup up front, some biscuity malt, citrus, just a little bit of hops but not bitter at all.

F - Light-bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly dry finish, very drinkable.

O - A bit more character than other Mexican beers, with more corn and malt than lime seltzer like a Tecate or Corona. Not a go-to I'd reach for but on occasion (like today) this hits the spot with a wedge of lime and some Tajin.

24oz can into dimple.

Completely clear, golden-yellow pour, one finger soapy head with minimal retention and lacing.

Nose is, to abuse a turn of phrase, an adjunct bomb - lots of corn up front with pale malt and some lightly fruity, citrusy notes behind.

Mouthfeel is smooth, even creamy, quite robust in body for the style, with relatively moderate carbonation which mainly manifests in the finish and cleans the palate nicely.

Taste is pure pale malt and corn notes, but without the sharp, dry qualities of, say, Corona. There's heavy sweetness, a slight and very uncomplicated hop character, and the citrus noted above comes through, along with perhaps some banana and peachlike notes.

Definitely a step sideways from Corona, but in a way that I enjoy. Still hits the important elements of the style.

I do prefer this over Mexican beers such as Corona or Carta Blanca. It's light & refreshing without too much of a corn chip type of taste. Cheers! B-

Sometimes you just gotta do it. You gotta switch it up. Like, I totally recommend having trunks and good old fashioned skivvies in your top drawer - variation is the spice of life, my peeps. And as Raul sips on this Mexican Lager, he’s into it. No fuss, no BS, all adjunct malts and grains. And all the Raul man asks is, don’t be skunky. Please don’t be flat or skunky. And Montejo says, ‘ok!’ Now, it’s a lil too sweet, but Raul will let that slide for not tasting like the Kardashian of beers (Corona).

This is just average for the style, better than most beers from Mexico. The head is nice and white, and faded quickly, there is descent lacing, the finish is slightly off putting, but it is better than Corona. I would not by this again

12 oz. bottle:

Pours straw yellow with a white fluffy head that immediately all but disappears leaving minimal lacing.

The smell is of grain with some corn.

The taste is of sweet grain, a bit of corn, with a general touch of hop bitterness to balance the sweetness. Clean, crisp finish.

Light, smooth, inoffensive. It's more of an American macro/adjunct lager than a pils, and reviewed with that in mind. It's a decent Mexican "lawn-mower" beer either way. Easy-to-drink with a certain refreshing quality to it.

This is an okay beer. While it's listed as a Czech Pilsener, it tastes like a slightly better American adjunct. The aroma was no distinct, and the color was a clear, pale yellow. It's not bad but there was nothing distinctive about its flavor.
