Bought in a bottle-never hear dof this beer before. Almost as goos as carta blanca. Defininitely will buy this again if it comes to my state. Blows Corona away and is among the top Mexican beers

One of the best Mexican beers I've ever had - almost comes off as a milder white beer sans any of the spices, but is incredibly drinkable and (in a can) no skunkiness of which to note. Blows Corona out of the water, though that's not difficult, and is on-par with Modelo in taste and quality, only being a bit lighter.

I made a big mistake in picking this one up, totally needed a lime. It hints at being a decent pils, but mediocrity abounds. Tastes like a mix of Bohemia, Miller Lite and Corona. The malt flavor is almost pleasant, but then cheap beer flavors rush in and knock that out of your memory. Avoid this one. It's no Corona Light, but you can do better.

Crisp. Not overly foamy which is nice, which makes it not too filling. It’s on the sweeter side. I can see crushing a 12 of these on hot summer outdoors day. It’s not my fav Med beer but it’s far from the worst. I like it better than Pacifico but not as much as Modelo especial, to use that as a measurement.

12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Pours a very pale yellow, very clear, average amount of carbonation streaming up the middle, no head retention, no lacing, looks like an average adjunct lager.

A: Old musty cardboard smell, hint of skunk, smells like a watered down Corona, not much going on.

T: Some skunk up front, some maltiness in the finish, very basic, like the aroma, it taste like a watered down Corona.

M: Very light, crisp finish, very drinkable.

O: Taste and smells like a Corona light, faint skunk with an easy drinkability, there are better Mexican beers out there.

Clear gold with one finger of white head that departs rather quickly. No lacing.
Smell is fresh corn chip mineral water and a whiff of grassy hops.
Taste is corn chip mineral water some bready malts and the grassy hop shows up toward the end.
Mouthfeel is almost medium mostly from the high carbonation. Finish is dry and pretty neutral.
Usually I don't like the low abv beers due to thin body and watery flavor but I did enjoy this one more than I expected.
Good hot weather beer.

Estrella Jalisco has a thick, white, creamy head, a pale straw, bubbly appearance, and some lacing left behind. The aroma is of bread dough and corn tortilla. Taste is of sweet, white bread, sourdough bread, and grassy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Estrella Jalisco finishes crisp, easy going, and enjoyable.

This beer has just recently started being marketed here in Northern California so I thought I'd give it a try. It looks like a typical Mexican pale lager and smells and tastes pretty much the same. Really nothing to distinguish it from Corona or Pacifico except I prefer those brands more. I can see myself knocking down a few of these on a hot summer day, but not until they knock the price down a little. $7.99 a six pack. I think naught.

Says Estrella Jalisco on the label but I am sure this is the same beer even though it says it is brewed in Guadalajara.

Clear yellow colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells of powdery yeast and mild sweet malt. Faint caramel. Little bit of noble hop it comes out in the scent of grass. Corn is detectable.

Starts out mildly sweet with a fairly strong mineral water flavor. Quite fizzy the carbonation level is high. Quite clean flavored no detectable flavor defects. Toasted grain and faint grass. But this is very mildly flavored.

Mouthfeel is seltzer water.

Overall exactly what it pretends to be, an unoffensive Mexican Lager. But this is WAY better than a funky Corona and a very good hot weather beer. Just don't compare it to a World class German Lager.

Look: Very pale-crystal yellow, lots of bubbles, poor head and very thin; Smell: A lot of corn that gets confused wih vegetable oil, but not offensive; Taste: Corn miexed with lightly smoked malt and mineral water; Mouthfeel: Crisp, slightly bitter, very smooth body and high carbonation; Drinkability: Easy to drink, very good to entertain chilangos drunkenness.
