Look: the beer pours clear straw-yellow color with a white head.
Smell: Grain, corn, lemon, sugar and skunk.
Taste: Corn, lemon, grains, some caramel and some bitterness that balances out a bit
Mouthfeel: Thin body, medium carbonation
Overall: No words for this.

Yellow color with a tan head. Looks better in bottle. Smel is of sour malts and bad hops. Taste is of dried malts. Needs a lime to add to flavor. Feel is light and some what refeshing. This is decent to drink when you can't taste anything because it is so hot outside. Mexico makes much better tequilas than beers.

Poured from a bottle into a standard pint glass. I did not add Lucas, salt or a lime. Just going to drink the beer as nature intended it.

Beer is light yellow and clear. Carbonation is moderate and consists of large bubbles. After an aggressive pour, a decent head forms but falls away quickly leaving no lacing on the glass. Despite the strong carbonation, the head of the beer does not stand up. All and all, it looks like a beer, exactly what you'd expect.

Smells like cooked corn. Not really appetizing.

Body is thin, kind of ilke corn-flavored water, cooked corn flavor, harsh husk tannin back flavor leaves a terrible not pleasant bitter aftertaste (this is probably what the lime is for). Drinkability is low but mouthfeel is not good. Beer is messing with me a lot. There is a decent amount of carbonation in the mouth, there may be some sweetness in the front but the more I drink the more cereal I get.

Gross.

7 oz bottle left by some dinner guests. Pours a white soda-pop-like head over a crystal clear light straw colored liquid. Smells of skanky Saaz hops and corn. Some tin. Tastes wet sweet, but foul. Corn, cardboard. Noticable hops that are Saaz tin-like. Not very bitter, but full of musty straw flavor. Light body and strong carbonation. Judged to style, not my preferences.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Aggressive pour yields a super light and airy, pure white head, the beer itself is a thin, very light gold color, almost yellow

S: Smells just like skunky weed, but that means its skunked from the clear bottle (go figure), the aroma is definitely light struck hops, not actual beer, after a few minutes the skunk fades a little leaving only slightly metallic blandness

T: Tastes milder than the smell as far as the skunk goes, very mild hop taste, slight sweetness, but not malt tasting, again a bit metallic

M: Carbonation is high, pretty thin

D: Flavors not good by any means, and it is too carbonated, both hinder the drinkability, since it isn't really pleasant

Notes: Now I know there are different opinions with regards to reviewing these adjunct lagers, however I'll be the first to admit that under the right circumstances I love an ice cold corona. However, when I review this, it is under controlled conditions. Compared to other beers, this one isn't great, but don't let that affect whether or not you would drink this occasionally.

My mother-in-law's birthday party had these being served. So I decided to rate them. Appearance was wicked bland with a pale, pale, dull yellow with some frothy lacing on the sides. The lemon flavoring aroma was very weak but did have some yeasty hints to it. A generally bitter taste to the drink with a lacking lemon zest made it a pretty boring drink. Mouthfeel probably was the better dimension of this drink. It was light, watery and slightly carbonated to allow for something relaxing on a hot day. Overall, a somewhat festive drink but the novelty wears off quick.

Not sure of people put a lime in the bottle to add flavor or to kill the taste. Definitely has to be cold. I only drink it if my only choice is this or Bud Light!

Beer pours pale yellow from the bottle with minimal white head

Smell: subdued sunky lager smell with a little bread.

Taste: Not much, the malt is very mild, maybe some fresh cooked mass produced white bread smell. The hops is just perceptible on the finish. The taste sours as it warms up and not is nice Belgian sour kind of way.

Mouthfeel: watery and I can feel it going flat.

Drinkability: Hey I could and unfortunately have drunk a lot, but it better be cold, very cold or D drops to 1.

So hey it's Corona, not great and make sure you drink it cold, if it's what cheap and they have some limes

Pale yellow color with little to no head, that retains even less.

A rather skunky smell

The taste was nothing special though it is not offensive in any way, just a light malt character. Very waterd down. Maybe that's why people put limes or lemons in them? I prefer a beer with character all of its own making.

Very easy to drink, amd light. I can see why every barbecue I go to in the summer has them. Though if I wanted to be refreshed I would just have some water. Then have a nice light pale ale.

We open a 12 oz. can and pour a brew the color of pale goldenrod. It holds a very brief one half-finger head that quickly dissipates, leaving not even a film on top of the beer. No lacing is noted, and the beer appears to have a watery consistency. Carbonation appears rather active, and the beer is crystal clear with no haze or sediment. As we sniff, we notice a distinct fermented apple quality to the very present alcohol. This is accompanied by grainy pale malts, and some metallics. There is a hint of barley, but the grain profile is otherwise very adjuncty. As we sip, the first thing noticed is the adjunct-grain profile. It is sweet, but has an odd oily taste, like that of greasy French fries. The alcohol is also most present here, but not overly so. As we move to the middle, the grain takes on a more sour and metallic vibe. This is also present in the finish, which includes more alcohol, a penicillin flavor, and fermented apple sweetness. The aftertaste has bitter notes, of adjuncty inclusions, along with fusel alcohols. Bitter and grainy. The body is light, and the carbonation is very active, and stings the lips. This is undoubtedly the most prominent aspect to the beer’s feel as the other components are very similar to water. The abv is appropriate, and the beer drinks okay.

The best thing about this beer is the sweetness at the beginning, and how well the bitter metallic adjuncts balances this out. This is not to say that the beer is well balanced flavor wise, but rather that the mouth is not left with a sickeningly sweet, or offensively bitter flavor in the end. On a more negative note, the beer is over-carbonated. Finally, it lacks any real complexity, is overly adjuncty, and is bland in aromatics.

If you have to add something to mask the bad taste, then it sucks. that being said, ice cold with a wedge of fresh lime, this is hard to beat on a hot summer day. Take the lime and hot summer day away, I prefer piss warm chango

This beer is just a whole lot of nothing. It has a pale yellow body without a head. There isn't much taste either, because the beer is so incredibly watery. The only reason why I didn't give this beer anything lower is because it's by no means offensive due to the neutrality of the taste and smell. Extremely carbonated. It goes well on a warm, summer day when there is nothing else to reach for.

Ugh.. Rue the situations where Corona is your best option.. Whereas certain Hefe's or such could gain some taboo, frivolous sweet-accent by the addition of citrus, this beer requires it just to reach the level of tolerable. It looks just like yellow nothing. No thank you. Smells simply of adjuncts. Sure, its not actually an offensive odor, but theres nothing enticing about it. Flavor is just all adjunt and, should you encounter the horror of sipping it once its warmed a bit towards room-temp, is mildly-enraging. Mouth is thin, not light but thin and has an acrid feeling. Drinkability, well.. how do you want to define it? Sure, you could chug tons of it while at your frat house's party or at some sort of BBQ whilst waering your khakis and possibly before pushing one of your bro's into the pool while he's still fully clothes..but as for considering what makes me WANT to drink something.. I don't think so.

A: Crystal Clear

S: Skunky skunk-a-rama. Also, corn. And more skunk

T: Better be ice cold with lots of lime. Otherwise - yikes.

M: Carbonated and water like

O: If it is hot, you're on a beach, and someone is giving this away, go for it. If it is any other scenario, why are you drinking it?

A: Pale straw yellow, with absolutely no head to speak of. Looks like slightly yellowed water.

S: Not much of one at all. Maybe some cereal grains and a hint of maltiness.

T: See what I wrote for smell above. A little bit of a corn taste and some slight sweetness. Calling it maltiness is an insult to malts.

M: Refreshing enough, if you can get past the taste.

D: I can (and have) drank many of these in a sitting before, but I never had the nerve to try one without a lime. At least the lime adds some character and helps cover up the lack of flavor/skunkiness.

I never understood why this is the most famous "beach beer" or what genius decided that a clear bottle was a good choice for beers that you're going to drink while sitting out in the sun. Either way, do yourself a favor and avoid this beer whenever possible. There are many more refreshing beers that aren't skunked and cost less.

Clear 12 oz glass bottle.

Appearance: Pours a blonde straw color with good carbonation and some initial white foam that disappears rapidly but does leave a tiny trace of lace on the glass.

Smell: Faint. Some malt and some kind of grain (corn?).

Taste: Very light. Malty, a bit sweet (adjuncts?), very low hop character. A somewhat tangy taste. No wonder everyone drinks this ice cold with a lime.

Mouthfeel: Crisp with good carbonation, but thin overall.

Drinkability: OK in a pinch. I give it an extra half point because I realize this beer is drinkable ice-cold on a hot day.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle with no freshness date into a mug at Mexican restaurant. Served with a lime, which I promptly removed. Pours a golden clear color with scant bubbles. Nonexistent head, faint white broken ring of foam and no lace. Nose is really nothing, just some faint malt. Taste is sweetish, mildly malty, really rather neutral. Adding the lime significantly enhances the otherwise nonexistent flavor. Mouth is bubbly and well carbonated, near-fizzy; wet, and a bit thin. Drinkability is OK, definitely substandard swill here. The lime definitely helps.

Overall: This beer is OK if you’re in a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t serve Negra Modelo.

Other notes: I find it amusing that despite over 450 applied reviews, no one has seen fit to send in a picture of the bottle. That speaks volumes about this beer.

What is there to say that hasn't already been said about Corona Extra?

It's brewed with adjuncts, and for good reason it's quite infamous, but snobbery aside it really isn't all that bad on a hot day if your bottle is fresh and hasn't been skunked.

Pours a translucent pale yellow that generates a one finger head. It leaves no lacing and has poor retention but who cares? Smells like corn and apples.

The taste is watery with mild bitterness and sweetness. Notes of bread, sour green apples, rice and corn. Feel is undercarbonated, thin and rather thirst quenching.

I like Corona Extra because it has decent bitterness compared to other macros with and a mildly sweet cereal grain taste to complement it. Overall, served ice cold, it makes for a great beer on a hot, humid day. But yeah it comes up just short of being utter undrinkable swill.
