The look was a clear golden color with a small white rocky head with lots of carbonation visible.
The smell was of a typical Mexican lager but only so much skunkiness overpowering everything.
Tasted like a skunked out Mexican lager.
It did have a light easy finish.
This is not the one for a Mexican lager. There are so many on the market that would blow the doors off of this horribly foul skunk odoriferous beer. Great clear bottles so that the beer can be easily damaged, way to go on that one! Now I have to drink a beer to wash that taste out of my mouth.

24 fl oz can from a bodega in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

4.50% ABV. Imported by Import Brands Alliance, St. Louis, MO.

APPEARANCE: Pretty standard. Your typical off-white head with a clear yellow body.

Looks like your typical budget lager.

AROMA: Corn adjunct is balanced out nicely by some graininess. Pilsner malt. Some syrupy sweetness mucks up the balance. Generic minimal floral hop character.

Aromatic intensity is average.

TASTE & TEXTURE: Taste matches the aroma, with too much sweetness in there along with an off-puttingly syrupy mouthfeel. Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, overcarbonated, unrefreshing. In its defense, it isn't watery or thin - but then I'd probably take that over this syrupy feel. Not grainy enough. Pils malt gets drowned out by sweet corn adjunct.

Poorly built, with no depth of flavour. Flavour duration is average, as is flavour intensity. To its credit, there are no metallic off-flavours and it isn't a boozy beer.

OVERALL: A pretty poorly executed lager that gives in to the typical budget beer pitfalls, Estrella Jalisco is best left on the shelf. At this budget tier, I'd sooner reach for a malt liquor or budget American-brewed brand like Rolling Rock or Miller High Life. This was $3.00 poorly spent.

Pours a clear, straw color. 2/3 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong adjunct, hint of hops, and pale malt. Fits the style of American Adjunct Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong adjunct, hint of hop, pale malt, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of European yeast. Overall, poor aroma and appearance, but decent body and blend.

12 oz bottle pours a clear gold color with a bubbly white head. Fades fast without leaving much lace.

Clean nose with some wet grain and dried corn aromas.

Taste is pretty well done for the style. Clean and crisp, not too sweet and a touch of malt. Better than Corona and Dos Equis, I enjoyed it. One of the better macro lagers from Mexico

For what it is, this beer is way better than Corona or Tecate. It is golden in color, mostly clear. Thin, bubbly head that fades quickly. No lacing. The aroma is malt and grain. The flavor is malt, hops, and grain. It is improved by adding lime. I received this beer for free from my work. Not something I'd drink regularly. If you enjoy light, Mexican beers, you may like this one.

24 oz can bought from a Circle K in Salem OR $3..effin exspensive Pale yellow cooking oil colour..large frothy off white head. Aromas of cooked and creamed corn..some paper and a bit of cereal. Taste similar but there is a bit of hop ..grassy. Mouth feel is actually good for style and origin..its OK. A general Mexican gas station beer..but its far from the worse. Its better that Pelican Pelicano

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a clear, medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and some lacing, looks better than expected. Unfortunately skunkiness poured out of the bottle on opening, noticeable at pouring range. Once in the glass has the classic adjunct light sweet grainy malt and faint grassy hops. Flavor starts with grainy sweet malt with light grassy hops, then thins out to reveal husky grain and somewhat rough grassy hops. Watery finish. Light to medium bodied. I accidentally bought this thinking it was a new brewery, and discovered it was another AB import from Modelo with the brewery disguised, pretty sad. Equally grim is that although AB and Modelo products are boring, they are usually bland, slightly sweet and inoffensive, so not too hard to drink. This not too harsh, but grainier and with rougher hops flavors. A bit underwhelming for an underwhelming style. A brewer's pride in their beer can often be instantly telegraphed by a clear bottle and that is true here. Looks OK and goes downhill from there. Why import this as a new brand? Sad.

Relatively new to me as I just noticed this beer in a local butcher shop. Was able to find a lone 24oz as I didn't want to buy an entire six pack. Pours lights straw color completely transparent, head disappears after about a minute. Smells sort of sour cannot discern much beyond the sour notes. Taste is rather disappointing. Starts off way to sweet and entirely too light to be considered a none light beer. Initially I thought this beer was flat but upon further inspection it just doesn't have enough carbonation. I was a little excited to see another Mexican beer but I am thoroughly disappointed.
