Cerveza Pacífico Clara, better known as Pacífico, is a Mexican pilsner-style beer. It was first brewed in 1900 when three Germans opened a brewery, the Cerveceria del Pacífico in Mazatlán. Cerveza Pacifico is named so because the Pacifico brewery is located in the Pacific Ocean port city of Mazatlán, in the state of Sinaloa, México. Its label includes a picture depicting a lifesaver encompassing a hill with the port's lighthouse, known locally as "Cerro del Crestón." In Mazatlán, the beer is available in three different size bottles: "cuartitos" (6 fl. oz), "medias" (12 fl. oz.), and "ballenas" (32 fl. oz.). "Clara" means clear, as opposed to "obscura" (dark).

Here we go. An infrequent guest in my fridge. Poured from a really nautical, 24oz. can, Into a 24oz. Brewtus glass. Dark gold with a white sudsy head, that dissipates into ZILCH. if I didn’t know better? This looks like apple juice. BB date is July 2025. Smells like corn/adjuncts/gunmetal. Tastes like a bad Friday night. But not extremely bad - to the point - of a flush. Thin, and THIN. the adjuncts/metal govern the taste of this beer. If I had to compare an American adjunct lager, to this one? Probably Milwaukee’s Best/Old Milwaukee. They were never that bad, that you couldn’t put em down…but never that good, to make it a daily/weekly offering(for the remainder of your life…at least for me). In the bottle, it’s a lot more approachable.

A local bar has this on draft for $3. It's either this or American light beers. So I usually go with this, and I can't complain too much. Tastes like corn, but more dry than most American macro lagers.

Crystal clear light gold, nice white head, decent enough retention, what lacing the beer has is spotty
Corn, light sulfur aroma
Tastes like corn, some sulfur, sweet
Light bodied, appropriate carbonation
If I were in Cozumel, on the beach, had just eaten a bunch of spicy seafood, this beer still wouldn't be the beer for the moment

Oodles of acetaldehyde on the nose & palette,, though slightly balanced by a light grain profile on the palette. Crisp, not super syrupy. Super dry on the finish oddly enough but that could also just be from a less-than-clean glass @ this restaurant. Serviceable table beer

From a can. Clear golden color with lots of foamy cream-colored head. Grain and noble hop aroma. Light body with strong carbonation. Light grain and sweet corn flavors with a little floral hop note on the finish. Decent. The sweet corn flavor is a love it or hate it thing, but it's lighter here than other Mexican macros (Carta Blanca).
