I'm only slightly biased with this beer due to the many awesome moments I've had drinking it in Mexico. Don't expect much from it but drop a slice of lime in the bottle and enjoy with your chips and salsa. I'd take this to the beach over Corona. The beer isn't sewer water but it is far from being worthy of praise.

12 oz bottle into a tulip.

A: Pours a light straw's a freakin' macro lager, what did you expect? It also has a weak-looking white head with terrible retention.

S: While the cereal grain element is expected of the style, it also seems to have a richer malt backbone than, say, Corona. That, and it's not skunked. The hints of a note similar to lime and the aforementioned fact I can smell a touch of caramel saves the aroma from being crappy.

T: Cereal grains are noted immediately. The corn notes actually fade slightly to reveal a touch of caramel and brown sugar. I'm mildly impressed that there's an actual semblance of malt here! Still, needs more hoppiness...or more freshness. Hell, maybe both.

M: Fizzy, light, and sweet. I'd reckon it's too sweet at the end of the day, in fact. This is my main problem with the brew: while the malt backbone is nice and everything, there isn't much to ballast its sweetness with.

O: Make no mistake, this is much better than Corona - but so is getting bitten in the balls by a honey badger. I really don't hate this one at all, and I would gladly drink it again for free. Bohemia is still my Mexican lager of choice, though.

Poured a fair yellow but the head was quite thick with a fluffy airy head that sat on top for quite a while.

The aroma was a touch off putting with a corny metallic scent but then a bready cereal malt kept it a little more legit.

The flavor is bready, doughy with cereal malts and a German lager thought, just a touch short.

The feel is amazingly refreshing, not nearly as thin as one would expect and excessively easy to drink.

Pacifico is a nice beer for a hot summer day. Goes down smooth, but leaves a slight unpleasant after taste possibly from the corn. No freshness date to be found on the brown bottle with bright yellow lable. It is comparable to other Mexican beers like Corona and Sol.
