I will make this fast. I thought this was going to be a bit better than it was, not wasting a lot of time on the review.

Appearance - Pours a super transparent golden color with a soap bubbly half finger that dissolves as fast as it appears. No lacing. Since it is snowing here I like the thought of drinking Mexican beer, sitting on a fishing boat not giving a damn.

Smell - A bit of corn, tiny lemon, skunk, urine

Taste - Nothing really. Tin, a bit of bitterness

Mouthfeel - Finishes like water, about the same consistency.

Overall - Move it along. If you want to drink beer south of the border go Corona or Dos Equis at a minimum. This is pretty bad.

One bottle of several poured into a pint glass in Cabo San Lucas. Perhaps the most widely available shitty macro-lager in these parts, with the possible (likely) exception of Corona, a pale yellow fizzbomb with no head to speak off, although if you deliberately do an aggressive pour into a clean glass you can get about four fingers of blink and you miss it creamy white foam. Sorry, I fuck around a little when I get bored. Smells pretty mellow but what's there speaks of cooked corn, whiffs of apple and grape hard candy, skunk, dead grass (I am not exaggerating), and sweet dough. Classic macro lager taste and feel. Has almost a cotton candy sweetness, marginally thicker and less corny than Corona but this is not saying that much. More apple and grainy notes late. There is a German brewing tradition in this beer's pedigree but you'd never know it based on taste. Terrible brew truth be told, although a good study for those interested in intimate knowledge of DMS and the odd fruity notes one gets with under-aged beers.

This beer is way better than its rating here. Aroma of mostly grass, corn, and pear. Light and crisp mouthfeel. The aroma and taste are not overly powerful, but thats the point of the style. No off flavors detected. I would have to guess that a majority of the poor ratings are due to improper storage and handling.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a nonic glass.

Pours a clear golden color with a foamy head that quickly dissipates. Almost completely clear.

Nose is metallic and dominated by sweet malt. No other smells present.

Flavor is very murky. Malt flavors that tastes dusty and dirty.

Carbonation is good if the body is watery.

Situation-ally, this is the best beer you can get a restaurant. Doesn't overpower your pallet with skunkiness. Also, it's a great beer with lime.

That said it does kinda suck by itself, but so does every other mexican style beer.

Purchased from a local liquor store. Served well-chilled. It took me awhile to choke this down and I'll probably try to pawn the other five bottles on one of my sons. Maybe I just got a bad lot but I'm not getting a light grain and slight lemon taste. Instead, I got a "dadgummed corn done spoiled" taste, albeit a sweetish note along with the spoiled grain. This was offered on tap at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill restaurant. I was tempted...just couldn't do it. Ordered a Bud instead.

On tap at BC's Pizza and Beer

A: Pours pale straw with a white head that disappears.

S: Very light lemon grass and floral notes, corn adjunct, and a little skunkiness.

T: Some lemon grass bitterness followed by corn adjunct sweetness, with a very faint floral note.

M: Light to medium body, fairly crisp with a noticeable carbonation bite.

O: It could be worse, and could serve a purpose as a lawnmower beer, but that corn just ruins it for me.

AGAIN; Dark beer lovers should refrain from rating a light or medium lager brewed in the Americas, or anywhere for that matter. If ones pallet is partial toward sharp cheddars, why would he/she flap-off about a muenster or provolone'... something they wouldn't normally consume? PACIFICO is, per my experience, one of the two best light lagers brewed in Mexico, ( Victoria being slightly crisper in my opinion. ). Lagers/Pilsners are not known for having heavy bouquets as they SHOULD not! PACIFICO has an enjoyable but not overpowering flavor, therefor it mixes indominantly with many different meals. Pacifico also delivers a creeping, delightful wallop that should be languished in - not used as an appetizer for a hard booze finish. ( the Mexican VICTORIA has a slightly better flavor in my opinion )

Straw color, crystal clear. Some rising carbonation. Thin soapy head.

Sweet grain and corn.

Sweet grain, cereal, some corn. Slight bitterness towards the end. Finish is dry, very crisp. Body is thin, crisp, refreshing, dry, fizzy.

It's a decent beer.

Bottle pour, not much head to speak of. Clear yellow, lots of bubbles. Not too much on the aroma but the taste is good. If you wanted to have a beer after work, this would be a good one. Pretty good flavor.

This beer has a time and place. It is not to be dismissed out if hand. While lacking complexity and balance, it hits the spot in a hit day, out doors, when you are looking to throw back a quite a few. A crowd pleaser for good old beer drinkers.

Appearance- Pours the traditional Adjunct lager color of straw yellow Taste- Has a grain and corn flavor, not bad, not great Palate- A light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- A beer made for drinking with food or if you plan on hitting a bunch of them in a session.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass.

Appearance: pours a thin 1/2" head that recedes quickly leaving a bit of lacing. Color is light golden with plenty of streaming carbonation.

Aroma: mild aroma of hay, grass, and lightly roasted barley.

Mouthfeel: light and watery with a pleasant, refreshing finish.

Taste: bready malts dominate, a bit of lemon balances out the sweetness of this brew.

Overall: well made and enjoyable Mexican lager. Nothing unpleasant, and better than ordinary.

Drank quite a few of these when down in Baja when choices were limited and it was very hot so I thought it was very good but since I've drank several under different conditions and its just Okay. Good with light meals easy drinking but bland taste and finish/appearance.

Its quite similar to many american Macro Beers reminds me of a Miller High Life quite similar to another Mexican Beer SOL.

If hanging out and having some ceviche It will certainly do the trick but I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out.

On-tap at Jose ’s Blue Sombero in Waukesha, WI. Pours a clear, yellow color with slight white head served with lime. The scent from the lime overpowers the aroma of the beer. Taste is light, thin, and pretty much absent. Smooth and easy drinking but not very interesting.

Serving: Bottle, from the bottle
Served: 28 May 2014

Appearance: Had this one from the bottle. The bottle art was uninspiring at best, and outright bland at worst.

Smell: Sweet corn, slight harshness.

Taste: A lot like Corona, but without the characteristic funk from the clear bottle. This one would undoubtedly be pretty great with a lime in it as well, which I did not have available at the time. The taste was sweet and "beery" with the standard Mexican lager harshness.

Mouthfeel: Much better than Corona here, as the carbonation carried through the entire bottle without diminishing.

Overall: Overall, as far as Mexican lagers go, I like this one much better than the ubiquitous Corona. This would be sublime with a lime and a massive quantity of cheap tacos.

Not much to say other than it was a waste of time and money. I'd never had this before and didn't read reviews before buying. Little to no aroma and not much action for the taste buds. Poured a whispy that dissipated quite rapidly. My money will be better spent elsewhere. That's all I have to say 'bout that.

Poured from the bottle into a pilsner Libbey glass. Happy Cino de Mayo! or uh maybe? Boy it's been ages since I had one of these.

Pretty much a basic looking lager. A real bright white soapy head, fairly large with a little bit of retention to it, settling down in time to about a finger, but easily three fingers tall. Body color is a deep brass yellow, crystal clear, even a hint of brown chestnut color to it also.

It's that adjunct nose. A bit of corn, there's even a good amount of skunking going on here for a brown bottle. How long was that single sitting in the cooler huh? Cryptic bottle dating on neck, even another websites decipering makes no sense. Some slight sweetness, nothing too syrup, but its not ideal.

Surprisingly skunky quality doesn't hit so much in the palate, but boy it's weak. Surprisingly didn't think this would be that wet, but it's quite flat. Virtually still water and no carbonation. Hints of watery malt and adjunct grain/corn finish. Lots of sweetness on the, and a sort of toothpaste like herbal finish.

Boy this is nothing like I remember it, this is just plain friggin weird. Took one hit for the team, there goes my $2.50, but I am a better man now that I know.

Pacifico pours out a light gold color, very light, almost straw. The head has a nice puffiness to it, but it's fizzing down swiftly. Excellent clarity. Not much carbonation visible, at all. I think I saw a bubble or two rise up, as if they were the last to go. No lacing, as expected.

Smells like corn syrup and musty stale lager grains. Very similar aroma to Miller Lite, as far as I can recall. No alcohol presence, but mild crispness and fermentation. A beer-y scent that is low in magnitude and rife with adjuncts. Economy lager stuffs. Who wouldn't be opposed to dropping a lime in this?

The flavors are muddled and watery. Still, there's generic lager flavor. Sure, it would be decent if it had some grassiness, any kind of real hop presence, or better quality grains; but, as an adjunct lager, it's not horrific. There's almost a weird fruitiness to the way the malts are steeped crossed with a note of the lager yeast, and I can't entirely fault this flavor, as it has some flavor, proper. Corn syrup and mustiness are obvious, of course. Typical Mexican swill, but without any realized harshness. Smooth-drinking, with a burst of late carbonation that runs a little high. Causes some stomach bubble unrest, but it's simple enough. The body is a joke, but I'm not going to write a separate paragraph knocking the mouthfeel, which honestly, is expectingly lacking. Lacking, but not difficult.

I didn't like Sol or Corona, and Pacifico isn't much better, but I think it's better. Take that.

has a golden yellow hue, much better than other lighter cheap beers. The smell is my favorite attribute, smells strong of rich barley has that grainy scent. The taste is pretty good I'd say, well considering what kind of beer youre dealing with, somehting that of course is great on a hot day. Slightly alcoholic but fades back to refreshing grains. The mouthfeel actually surprised me. Semi-full good end note. This is my favorite from Mexico

Just poured into a pilsner pint glass. This beer is for people who do not care what goes on the tongue. Head created is pathetic. Extreme amount of fizz as you pour, like a soda can. The head looks like the ocean after a storm, frothy and not appealing. The head vanishes in about 30 seconds, poor display. No lacing at all. Nose to glass is just a downer. I get a specific scent of corn. Carbonation is at a high point on this beer. Looks like water held up to the light, color rendition shows a lack of attention. Could be all the corn and adjuncts. Just took a second sip, just flavorless and watered down. This beer should be sold at 3.99 a six pack, maybe less, anything over is insulting. Not enjoying this at all! Friend gave me the six pack, what can i say. On a side note i would drink this any day over Bud or Coors light.

Not a great beer.

I believe this to be one of the "better" mexican beers and will snag this or Modelo if it's on tap at my local Mexican food source. Sure it's not the ideal snag, but it works well with my grub. Good hot weather beer for toiling around the house and multiples are definitely doable.

Yellow in color, cereal and corn aroma, tastes like dried corn and finishes with a spicy kick. Again, not much to tell your friends about, but for an afternoon swim party, tailgate, yard work..you could definitely do worse.

The taste isn't as smooth as Corona, maybe but I actually prefer it a lot of the time. Feels like it has a little more going on. My go to for Mexican style.

Great for warm days and camping when you don't want something heavy and don't want crap American Lager. Fun to experiment with too! Throw a chili in there or some tabasco. A fun beer you don't have to think about too hard.

Had a couple drafts at my favorite Mexican place and amused my dinner partners as I took notes for a review. The beer was served in a chilled pint glass with a couple limes on the side.

A - Golden color with a thin lace that lasted throughout.

S - Very neutral with some corn with a hint of yeast. I'm sure the cold masked some aroma but this beer is meant to be drank as cold as possible.

T - Combination of malt with some yeast flavors - as expected very little hopping. Very clean finish.

M - Very crisp with good carbonation.

O - This beer really paired well with my enchiladas. Just for kicks I squeezed the limes into one and found the taste to be very pleasant. I find some Mexican beers to have some off tastes but none were evident with this one. If you're in a Mexican restaurant and see this one I would recommend giving it a try.

Pale golden color with just a wisp of white foam partially covering the top. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Aroma is corn and Vienna lager yeast. The mouth is a bit thin, but crisp. Flavor is corn and more Vienna lager yeast. This is meant to be drank cold. I think it is still my favorite Mexican lager.
