decent carb. Some nice lime flavor. Not as salty and savory as I would expect. Kind of a weird sweetness flavor from the tamarind(?). Not a typical adjunct chelada. A strange mistake of a variation. Not willing to try again.

Suprisingly good and unexpected. Would be refreshing on a warm summer day.

Pours like slightly watered down tomato juice, brief 1" head that quickly disappears, flecks of tomato juice left as "lacing." Nose is tomato juice, lemon, salt, tamarind; nothing from either the base beer or the chipotle. Taste is salty, sharp tomato juice, lemon, and a little bit of tamarind. On the finish, the spice does warm very slightly, though I could have done with a lot more. Feel is fuller than other canned versions of the style, which is a good thing, but not too rich to become heavy. Overall, a really enjoyable version of a caned chelada.

It’s red. You mostly smell the tomato and a hint of citrus. Very tasty. Love the salty flavor, the citrus and chipotle smokey flavor. It’s got a little heat but not hot. Finally tried it and glad I did. Overall I will definitely buy this again. BB APR 2022

This could be interesting. There aren't too many tomato beers. A crack open of the 24 fluid ounce can is all that's needed to know there's definitely tomato flavor involved. Now residing briefly inside a clear glass Imperial pint mug, much of the can's contents are now exposed. The color is a heavily red influenced opaque amber, probably more red than amber. There's no head nor glass lacing. The smell of tomato dominates. This gets points just for its uniqueness. It tastes like a red eye, you know, one of those hangover cures when you combine tomato juice and beer. But here, there's not much beer. There's tomato juice to taste and chipotle pepper to feel. This is like a spiced up V-8 with some carbonation and alcohol. Again, points for its uniqueness. It brings enough heat to be accepted by those that like pepper beers. But beware, if you don't like tomato juice, you will disdain this brew. The label says that salt and lime are also in the mix, but all the average taste buds will discern are tomatoes and peppers. This really is one of the most unusual beers you will taste and it's surprisingly likeable. With an ABV of only 3.3%, this is probably the most flavorful session beer you will ever have.

Best chelada on the market by a longshot, and I've tried every one I've ever encountered. The tang of the tamarind and the heat of the chili is really just perfect.

L: A Filtered Tomato juice cooler with a
Large bubble head which vanished in a flash. No lace.

S: Mega Tomato juice!! Also sea salt and tamarind.

T: More tamarind, salt!! and lime and chili

F: Thin and clean, chili heat instead of bitterness, touch of citrus sourness.

O: Not my thing, Jose Gose preferred by far, but this is still good.
The Powerful flavors are just so over the top. Too strong, but I can imagine this again with a lot of crushed ice.

The pour is a nice dark red with a quasi white head that just goes away almost as you pour the beer. Lots of little bubbles around the edges of the glass.

Smell is tomato. Really just tomato. Okay, so tomato and nothing else.

Taste is puchy tomato juice. Punchy by way of salt, lime and chili pepper.

Mouth is medium with that thick tomato and lingers with a sticky pepper.

A pretty good chelada style from Modelo. Seems like this might turn up the acid levels for those that suffer from acid reflux. Myself, I am thinking of adding some ice cubes to my glass to cut this a bit. Really not a lot on this overall. Not much ABV and not much different from a lot of canned cheladas. This one just makes me think of those better ones I could have gotten at the restaurant or made at home.

Let me start off by saying that i'm not too fond of this low 3.3% abv, there is also no date on the can just some code on the bottom. The small head dissipates rather quickly. There are some healthy ingredients in this brew, tomato, lime, salt, chipotle pepper & tamarind fruit, well this chelada does sound interesting that's why I decided to give it a go not to mention the regular Modelo Especial is a decent Mexican adjunct lager. The aroma is of sweet tomato & V8 vegetable juice. On the taste i'm picking up on some sweetness from a combo of the tomato & the chelada & on the finish the spicy kick from chipotle pepper is their & there is slight sour from the lime, the beer is also a little watery. Moreover, i'm sort of impressed by what Grupo Modelo has done with this style. Oh well, at least now I can say I have had a beer that had both tomato & tamarind fruit in it. If you like a beer with some sweetness & a spicy peppery finish then you ought to try this out on for size. Wow! that's one interesting drink. Cheers! B
