A: A clear gingery copper colour with a mushroom coloured head.

S: Smells like slightly metallic lager.

T: Pfft. Grainy, mellow and not bitter. Not perfectly dry. A hint of caramel and walnut but more so in the finish, which is otherwise pretty clean. Now it has warmed up there's a smidgen of citrus in the aftertaste and also some corn snacks.

M: Soft effervescence and almost creamy.

O: Cleaner and tastier than your average macro lager.

Had dinner at a Mexican resturant with damn good food, and the average fun of mass produced Mexican brews.

12 ounce bottle poured into a meg.

A - A nice deep brown color. Head was about a finger but had no staying power whatsoever.

S - A nice sweet smell. Fairly subdued but a bit of caramel malt.

T - Not bad at all. Missing a bit of the mark for a Vienna Lager but had a nice caramelly flavor that I'd associate with a good Schwarzbier. Nice and smooth.

M - Fairly thin medium body.

D - Pretty nice. Goes good with Mexican, especially if you're looking for a bit of sweetness to smooth out and complement a spicy dish.

Pours a dark reddish copper, with very good clarity. Two fingers of off-white head are dense, and retain well. Small patches of weak lacing will remain. Toasted vienna and amber malt nose. Hint of noble hop aroma. The taste is sweet with dextrine and crisp with pilsener and a vienna malt flavor rounds it all out. Medium body, with tiny bubbles of carbonation and ample dextrins giving it a smooth mouthfeel. Mild hallertau or perle hop aftertaste cleanses the palate, although it its a bit too obvious. However, a residual sweet finish makes for an otherwise decent balance with above average drinkability.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pilsner glass.

Appearance: Pours a dark, translucent cola color with lots of carbonation bubbles. Has a large fizzy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing on the glass.

Smell: Smells strongly of roasted and sweet malts with very slight hints of coffee and chocolate.

Taste: Starts off sweet with hints of fruit. Finishes with a mild hoppy bitterness and hints of bittersweet chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Watery and over-carbonated.

Drinkability: A so-so beer. Certainly better than most Mexican beers I've had but not such a good representation of the Munich Dunkel Lager sytle, in my opinion. You could do better but you could also do much, much worse.

S - Some malts and sugar

T - Malts with brown sugar, some hoppy bitterness

M - Medium body with light t moderate carbonation

D - If I am enjoying some good mexican food, this is going to be the beer I will drink

Got a 6 of these with the glass. Didn't know what to expect.

This poured a nice dark amber with almost no head, smell is clean, somewhat grassy with a touch of hops. Something totally unheard of in their other more popular beer. Taste is surprisingly refreshing, a malt and hop aroma dominate here. Interestingly enough this is quite a smooth and easy drinking beer.

Not bad at all. I'd visit this one again.

12oz bottle without freshness date or ABV.

Pours a somewhat transparent brown with a thin head that quickly diminishes and leave no trace. Smells slightly of caramel and toasted malts with a touch of hop liveliness. Very clean flavor. Caramel and lightly toasted malts flash across the tongue briefly before being replaced with a slightly hoppy dryness. A bit thin and over-carbonated in the mouth.

Easy to drink and cooling on a hot day. Not a subtle beer, but has some pleasantly clean flavors and is a nice alternative to the usual watery mexican pilsner imitations.

A- Poured from the bottle with a very frothy light-tan head, which slowly receded, leaving little bits of lacing behind over a garnet-tinged dark amber body. Some very coarse carbonation observed from the sides of the glass.

S- Mild nose overall. Comprised of crackerlike malt aromas, very faint (almost undetectable) low-alpha hop aromas, and some faint whiffs of DMS.

T- Malt-forward somewhat sweet overall (not cloying) with a touch of diacetyl. A touch of hop bitterness in the short-lived finish. Somewhat one-dimensional, but still enjoyable.

M- Thin to medium body. A little oily texture (from the diacetyl?). Coarse carbonation. No astringency.

D- Drinks quite easily... and pairs-well with Mexican food. Definitely one of those darker beers that work well in hot weather.

Pours a clear brown color, with a little, semi-creamy, off-white lace. On the nose there isn’t much going on, slight herbal aroma. On the palate, there is a good hop bitterness, light malt flavors, a touch of lime/lemon, (perhaps the a couple of drops of the lime wedge had dropped in, before I removed it and pured it into a glass), tea like flavors, hints of caramel too. This brew really did not sit well, and it did not go well with my Mexican dish. I had this at the Mexican Post in old city. Average brew….
