Pours clear, chestnut-brown, with off-white head, leaving a ring of lacing .

Smells of bready malt, fresh-out-of-the oven bread crust, and a hint of (cooked)lemon, & something sweet.

Taste is roasted grain , brown sweet bread/molasses ( a la gingerbread, minus the ginger) , a touch of nuttiness, finishing with a light brushstroke of pleasant bitterness.
Smooth, oily feel, until the fine, moderate carbonation kicks in.

Overall a good one that I wouldn't mind having again.

It's a beer I drink when the options are limited at some of the Mexican restaurants in my ville. Not a horrible beer just not worth me buying outside the Mex eats.

A very pleasing appearance, clear dark reddish brown with a 1" head poured into pint glass. My sniffer doesn't work well but the flavor hit me as a caramelly coffee. Feel was there then gone too quick. Would drink again but wouldn't run right out and stock my shelves.

Bottle poured into a pint glass

A: Pours a clear light brown color with a tan colored head, lots of carbonation and no lacing.

A: Roasted malts, caramel, toffee, slight touch of honey, but definitely getting more dark and roasted notes.

T: Caramel, toffee, roasted malts, honey, toasted crackers, not a lot of depth or complexity, pretty straightforward, still a tasty beer.

M: Light bodied with a good amount of carbonation, semi-dry finish.

O: My go to if I'm eating at a small family owned Mexican restaurant, has a slight nuttiness and roasted malt notes that makes it enjoyable.

Look - Nice Brown/Amber appearance, mostly clear, doesn't produce much head.

Smell - Clean malty smell with some caramel and nutty characteristics.

Taste - Malty taste as well, slightly bitter aftertaste that lingers for awhile after sipping.

Feel - Nice level of carbonation, on the dry side, good body.

Overall - Pretty solid beer overall. Don't get it confused with some of the other Mexican beers out there. This is closer to a Sam Adam's Boston Lager than a Corona. So pass on the lime if you order in a Tex-Mex restaurant. One of the better widely available Mexican beers in the states.

Appearance - The beer pours a dark blonde color with white bubbles crowning the pour.

Smell - It smells like beer. It smells like the same generic stuff my father and grandfather drank when I was a kid.

Taste - sweet cereal grains come at the front. There is bitterness toward the back with grassy notes and perhaps a hint of hops. Believe it or not, the bitterness lingers slightly.

Mouthfeel - The carbonation is a little overwhelming. It needs to come down a couple notches to allow something to linger besides the sweetness.

Mouthfeel -For a beer that is at most grocery stores, this is actually pretty good.
