A Vienna lager with some chocolate malts, a bit creamy from generous malting. Mildly sourish notes. Medium mouthfeel. Intially fizzy white head on dark colour, and malty aroma. Better than your average Mexican beer.A tad sweet bit not overally sweet.

Hazy brown body with a thin head. Yeast, some caramel malts and very mild spiciness but mild for the style make up the aroma. Flavor is hard to break down but milk chocolate toffee and caramel are prevalent however not spicy enough for the style.. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nicely smooth. Not terrible but it is what it is.

Pours a clear iced tea color with a 1 inch light beige head that fades to a thin film. Thick foamy rings of lace form on the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt and grains. Taste is of toasted malt, grains, and slight caramel. There is a very slight roasty bitterness on the palate after each sip. Mouthfeel is crisp and smooth with a pretty good level of carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty good beer for what it is and one of the best beers coming out of Mexico in my opinion.

supposedly one of the higher end mexican brews. pours a see through thin budlight color with a small head. nose is lousy, old malts, dead beer, no hops at all to speak of. taste beats the aroma, with a refreshing lighter malt flavor and a quick crisp finish. mouthfeel is alright, with some pretty high carbonation and a light body. if i was in mexico city on a 100degree day eating spicy food, it would be a good session, but on a cold fall night in the midwest with pizza, its extremely unremarkable.

This is a pretty decent brew. The beer is pretty much what I expected. It's got a transparent brown color witha head head. The smell of nuts and hops in the mix. It's not overly flavorful but just enough to get the idea that this is a dark lager and nothing much can change that. The best thing about this beer is probably it's color though.

Wow, what a great find here.

This is a great Mexican beer.. don't like things like Corona or Landshark fool you. Pours a nice dark brown with a faint aroma, which is basically the only knock on it. Other than that, the rest is gravy. Has such a smooth mouthfeel with a nice malty/hoppy taste that finishes so smooth. It doesn't have as much flavor as other darker beers out there but it makes up for it drinkability.

A: The beer poured clear light amber in color with a thin off white head that slowly fades into lacy patterns. A moderate amount of carbonation is visible from the rising bubbles.
S: There are light to moderate aromas of caramel malts in the nose, which has some hints of sweetness.
T: The taste is fairly similar to the smell with flavors of caramel malts, but is stronger. The finish has a very mild amount of bitterness from the hops.
M: It feels light-bodied, smooth and a bit watery on the palate with a medium amount of carbonation.
D: The beer is very easy to drink; I could easily drink many of these in one night.

I have had this a few times, but it particularly stood out recently. Looks brown with mohogony and golded high lights. Pours a rich, loose head that is just off white. Smells toasty, malty, and a little like butter popcorn. Tastes malty clean, hopped only for balance in flavor and bittering. A little bready, buttery, toffee like. Creamy body that remains quite soft. Finishes sweet and clean.

355ml bottle - another cute non-standardized foreign vessel, and yes, a mainstay at yer typical Mexican and points south-style restaurants.

This beer pours a clear, dark copper amber hue, with one skinny finger of weakly foamy, bubbly, and rapidly dissipating beige head, which leaves a few instances of streaky island lace around the glass in its haste.

It smells of dark, lightly toasted bready caramel malt, near-rancid butter, a bit of stale drupe fruitiness, and faint grassy, weedy hops. The taste is lightly roasted caramel malt, a hint of hard toffee, a faint oily nuttiness, ethereal cheap brown sugar, and weak leafy, floral hops.

The carbonation is average, just a trilling frothiness, the body medium-light in weight, and smooth enough, I suppose. It finishes off-dry, clean, a tad mineral-laden, and surprisingly warm for the purported ABV.

While stellar for this particular kind of brewing operation, overall this dark lager is just slightly above average - everything's there, but it comes across as muted. Still, a worthy enough beer option in the Sol/Corona/Pacifico wasteland where you're more than liable to run into it.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper color with a fizzy head that quickly disappears to a ringlet and milky way; virtually no lacing

Smell: Vague odor of caramel malt and noble hops, but very vague

Taste: Starts out rather toasty and the sweet malt builds into the finish; the finish is dry and chalky with some residual sweetness

Mouthfeel: Medium to light bodied with moderate carbonation

Drinkability: Not offensive but nothing special

A - Poured out a burgandy color with a fomay, tan, two-finger head. It left a touch of lacing.

S - It smelled of toasty malt.

T - It tasted quite sweet. A nice smooth malty flavor.

M - It was smooth and soft. A light to medium-bodied beer.

D - One of the better Mexcan beers. I think Vienna Lagers are the best kind of Mexican brews, anyway.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color beer with a medium bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of weak malt is quite boring. Taste of light adjunct base malt with a watery finish. I guess this is better then Corona but still very boring overall. Maybe I would have enjoyed it better sitting on a beach under the sun.

Medium to large off white to maybe light tan head settles to a nice lacing above a clear bright copper amber colored beer.

Light caramel to almost chocolate malts with some different things coming through, spices, nutmeg, not sure but they're there but very light.

Light maybe caramel maybe chocolate malts mix well to give this beer a definite flavor but not in any particular direction, and then I added a slice of lime and this beer seemed to explode with flavors but again in no particular direction, light malts, light hops, light citrus fruits and lime.

Easy drinking beer with a lighter taste that brings a variety of light tastes but really you should throw a slice of lime in the mix and it becomes, to me, the best mass market Mexican beer out there.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 12/17/2016. Pours crystal clear reddish copper/brown color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/chocolate, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/chocolate, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy hop; and slight roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/chocolate, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes presence. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/creamy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.4%. Overall this is a great Vienna lager. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Great rich Vienna/Munich malt flavors, with balancing noble hops. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
