Style: American Brown Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.10%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
It's chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. A malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spice added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops.

Looks like root beer when poured. Smell and taste is nutty chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium. Overall a good brown ale, when you can't decide if you want something heavy or light.

This is a pretty good as beer to change things up from trying IPA's and stouts. Solid, drinkable, well balanced, and underrated.

Look: Deep brown, pretty opaque. When held up to light had beautiful dark red color

Smell: Initial smell is of hops, which eventually gives way to sweet chocolate and butterscotch

Taste: Nice and malty, faint touch of hop bitterness which eventually gives way to faint chocolate notes on the exhale.

Feel: Initially drank it pretty cold, had a very thin water-like consistency. As it warmed, it became more creamy and lingered on the palate for much longer.

Overall very drinkable beer, would pair well with some brisket.

By far my favorite Big Sky offering so far. Pours a deep amber with almost no head. The smell has some chocolate and coffee notes but the taste is more coffee. Smooth going down and a great swallow with no aftertaste. One of the best brown beers out there.
