Pours gold with a white head.
Nose shows sweet clean malt and piny, resinous hops.
Similar flavours, some bready note though. Reasonable hop bitterness.

i always admire when simple ingredients and processes yield spectacular beers, and this is a great example of that. an english pale ale thats real hoppy, and not with tropical new world varietals, but with the classics. these beers are traditional for a reason, and i think the aggressive use of these hops make this beer awesome. the english ale yeast profile is minimal, and the grain base, while sturdy and appropriate, is not overly flavorful. it lets the hops do the majority of the work in the flavor, which i think is right on for the style, but also lets me taste these hops in higher doses than we usually get them. its bitter sure, but there is also a pear-like fruitiness to it in the finish, and a really clean aspect where they go away really quick for how flavorful they are. just a touch more honey sweetness from the grain than i need, and maybe a little more body too than i need for a beer i want to consume by the six pack, but the high carbonation and clean finish both help with drinkability. simple beer made right, i always appreciate that, and this is a good take on the style with that mentality. drink it close to freezing though, it loses some of its pop as it warms up.
