Here in Missoula I stop by the Brewery once in awhile to have my free sample. This is one of the best beers they brew. It has a wonderful smell. The color is a rich golden wheat. It is way too drinkable and I am glad they limit you to only a few sample glasses.
The aroma of this beer actually overwhelms you in their tasting room where they are serving a lot of other brews. It also has a head that won't quit. I really like this beer.

Pours clear golden, with a pure white head.

Solid, cookieish malt foundation in the aroma, with a light, lemony and wheaty note.

Bready malt, raw honey, and fairly dry on the tongue. The body is medium, crisp, and very refreshing. A nicely flavored and well rounded wheat, better than I remembered.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear yellow with a large frothy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is wheaty malts with some citrus and a little spice.

The flavor is rather subdued. I get some of the wheat, sweet malts, some vegetable, and a little fruit with a dry light bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is pretty full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, I didn't care for some of the off flavors.

appearance. A yellow pilsner color with a white half finger heard that starts to quickly disappear.

smell- a lemon/ wheat like smell. It kind of smells like an IPA which scares me before I taste it because I'm not an IPA fan. the smell kind of grows on you though. it is kind of refreshing.

taste- wow this surprised me. I didn't really know what to expect but this is great. It starts off with no flavor but then as it finishes it finishes an awesome lemon flavor. It is super light and a great session beer taste. This would be a spectacular summer beer. it's just got that summer vibe to it. The more sips I take the better it tastes.

mouth feel.- the mouth feel is great. smooth with the right amount of carbonation.

I normally do not try wheat beers and I was not going to buy this but God am I glad i did. This is a really terrific beer. I honestly think this beer is underrated on this site. This is defiantly one of my new favorite beers and I will definitely buy again and recommend to everyone.

12oz brown bottle no freshness date.

What an amazing crown of lace on the glass after three fingers of white head subsides. Bight and shiny golden color.

A little bit of bread crust and herbal / minty hop in the nose.

Solid smoothness, medium body. Crisp graininess with dried grass and mild biscuity flavors. Fresh ground wheat flour. Hop bitterness is not modest and cuts deep with a balancing sharpness and hard herbal flavor. Very clean palate with little to no fruitiness. Finishes off semi-dry.

Very clean, almost lager-like with a assertive hop profile which I really dig. I'll say it, this beats out almost all of the American Pale Wheat Ales I have had to date and certainly the more mainstream ones. Wheat session ale is the last thing I'll say.

The beer pours a very clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some lemons, but it is a little bit faint. The flavor is a mix of wheat, lemons, oranges and some black pepper. Very nice flavor and all of the components go well together. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very drinkable wheat beer.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pint glass.

Appearance: Bright golden yellow with little head but very active looking.

Smell: Semi-sweet wheat malt, citrus and Pilsner-like hops.

Taste: Seems like a cross between an American Wheat and a Pilsner. Some grainy wheat, light citrus and spicy hops. Ends somewhat bitter.

Feel: Moderately high carbonation, relatively light body and somewhat dry finish...

Drinkability: the nice Pilsner-like taste leads to an extremely drinkable summer beer. Also, at 4.7%, it is a great session beer.

This is very clean for a wheat without the big esters found in many European interpretations. The nose is herbal and citrus with more hop action than yeast. It pours crystal clear pale gold and the thick fluffy head confirms the presence of wheat, along with the rich texture. Grainy malt on the palate carries hoppy spice into the finish. Medium carbonation and body. Easy to drink.

A clear light yellowish straw look, average head, no lacing. Very little in aroma, barely notice a hop tinge.

Hops a little bigger on the palate, sweet, almost as if apples in a small way. No real malt or even wheat presence. Very light, makes the hop character and the sweetness seem broader than they are. Easy drinking, but a little pricey for what probably doesn't amount to too much ingredients wise. Summertime fishin beer fo' sho.

This beer pours a clear light yellow color, with a thick, pillowy white head. The head fades slwoly, leaving a thick lace.

This beer has a spicy hop aroma. Some grainy notes are present also. A slight citrus aroma mixes in. This beer smells very subtle.

This beer tastes like it smells. Spicy Saaz hops, with some grain flavor from the wheat. This beer ha a slight toffee like flavor coming form the malt also.

This beer is crisp and refreshing. It leaves a spicy aftertaste. It is carbonated just right.

This beer would make an excelent session beer. It is very mild and the alcohol content is low.

Overall: This is a good beer. I liked it more than I thought I would considering I am not a big fan of wheat. I got this beer because I was fishing for trout, and the name appealed to me. I would buy it again.
