Smell - wonderful coffee and hops smell along with a toasted aroma & lots of chocolate
Taste - a little less bold than I wanted but all in all a great flavor that sent me back for another 12 oz bottle
Buy again - At first bottle I thought not. decided to try a second and I found it grew on me. Yes I would buy it again. Not my favorite Porter but I am picky

Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Black liquid; some ruby when held to the light.
Small dark khaki head; spotty lacing.
The coffee aroma is bold & strong in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Blast of black coffee in the taste; a hint of lactose sugar on the back end. Not a subtle beer, but I love these flavors, so I'm not complaining.

Black pour with a thin 1/6" tan head. Great aroma, coffee is all up in this, not just coffee malt flavors either.
Taste: more coffee. Good roasty bitterness. Color is deep but the viscosity and body isn't super duper heavy or anything, plenty drinkable. Covers up the booze.
One of Big Sky's better 6 pack beers, good stuff for earlier in the day.

Appearance: Deep. impenetrable amber in color, with a prominent, somewhat coarse tan head, and thick, glass-coating lace. The head retention is moderate.
Aroma: Cold coffee with cream dominates the aroma. Chocolate and caramel present as well. There are also hints of vanilla, and some wood.
Taste: The taste begins with coffee and cream, soon followed by dark malt and semi-sweet cocoa. The coffee serves as a gracious undercurrent to the taste, never heavy-handed, as in some examples. As the taste progresses, there is a bit of sweet chocolate, and charred barley. These tastes blend very harmoniously. Finishes with a lingering, mild coffee note.
Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, very full, quite pleasant.
Drinkability/notes: This well exceeded my expectations. Very often, in my experience, coffee-infused beers sometimes present harshly, with a bitter and acidic quality, as with stale coffee. None of that is seen in this very enjoyable example, well done. This is one I would like to have again.
Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

12 oz bottle poured opaque with a large creamy head.
Unappealing aroma suggests the beer is past its prime, but this doesn't carry over to the flavor where dark roasted malts dominate. Coffee and dark chocolate are also present.
Creamy smooth, relatively lively feel.
