This place is great to take a date before a movie. Nice decoration. Lots of local bands play here and they have a good stage set-up and the sound is pretty good...cheers to the sound guy. Friendly, attentive and prompt service by attractive young ladies. The beers here are great, thier seasonal selections being my big draw. They have a pretty good selection of house beers and the price is quite reasonable...but very limited selection of outsider beers. Good bar though. They'll mix you anything and always have a really good nightly drink special. The only thing not so great about this place is the food. The food menu is a bit limited, plus the food is just ok and a bit pricey in my opinion. Overall this place has great beer, great atmosphere with only average food. Still it looks a like a classy joint, and you get the feeling like you're sitting somewhere pretty upscale. It's only a bit pricey when you eat there.

Brewer Damon Robson is an expatriate of the united Kingdom, and as such produces some of the cleanest, English-style beers I've had on this side of the pond. The ESB was generously hopped and, to my amazement, the Pale Ale, ESB and Stout were all poured utilizing CO² driven stout faucets with creamer plate. The resulting collar of foam was formed of smaller, tightly-knit bubbles and stuck around from the very first sip all the was to the end of the sleeve (Pint Glass). Great idea, eh?

A favourite if we're looking for dinner before a movie. Atmosphere is so-so...they're aiming for the sort of country-adventure explorer theme but don't quite take it the whole nine yards. This place kind of loses its cool when you head to the washroom and see it connected to the spacey, sci-fi bowling alley.

Service is always good, and the house beers are decent. The ESB is outstandng. However, they don't have a wide range a la Steamworks and most of their beers are fairly standard. Food is good, but really does't quite fit theme. Price vs quantity for the food puts it in the "bit pricey range." Overall, a decent place and not bad for a pre-movie drink.

Another one of these brewpubs that is afraid of flavour. Nothing challenging just more bland beer.

Located next to a suburban entertainment complex not far from the george massey tunnel. I guess if you are waiting for a film to start, it would be worth trying, but otherwise...
