This is a very strong beer. And to taste its bitter but strong. Very foamy head and watch the bubbles in the glass.. Very big aftertaste of malt. Take careful note this is a strong tasting beer.

Appearance: Pours a pale amber color.

Overall: This beer has balanced malt and hop flavor taste. It does a great job of American Hops. This beer doesn't have much of a smell and has a medium body. This beer is nothing special just an okay rating. Unimpressive.

Pours a light golden color. Has minimal aroma of hops a a strong presence of malts. Flavor s biscuit / toasted malts. Very little presence of hops. Has a roasty malt aftertaste. Over all drinks more like a lager than a pale ale, drinkable but not great.

12-oz bottle into nonic pub glass

A - slightly-cloudy golden body under a quickly-receding finger of white, high in visible carbonation

S - grains, honey sweetness, citrus; fairly unimpressive

T - citrus, herbs, bready malt, light honey sweetness, dry finish

M - medium body, prickly carbonation

O - It's beer. It's refreshing. It doesn't taste bad. Nothing special.

Got this in a mixed six pack. Pales in comparison to many other PA APAs. The flavor made this beer a decent afternoon thirst quencher. I would not drink this all night however.

Had weak smell and not much flavor. Smell was a bit off putting, like wet hay.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with balanced citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, caramel, toast, biscuit, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid pale ale style. All around good balance and robustness of citrus/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Seemed more like an English style overall, and was pleasantly enjoyable.

Pours an opaque gold producing only slightly more than a finger of frothy, shortlived, slightly off-white head that fades to a thin surface wash, a small collar ring & not much else in terms of lacing. Aroma is weak bread & caramel malt, with hints of tangerine, tropical fruit & floral hops. Taste is just as thin & much the same becoming a dry, peppery bitterness in a thin caramel malt sweetness in the finish all of which diminishes rapidly in fast fading aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light bodied with low-moderate carbonation, smooth, creamy yet lightly peppery & dry. This example bordered on being slightly flat. Not sure if this is representative of this brew or if there was a problem with the single bottle I had for rating.

Old, oxidized bottle but there's no freshness date so how was I supposed to know?
