On my Royal Oak beer hunt stopped by here after Cloverleaf, awesome these are so close together. This place has two really long rows of beer, mostly Michigan staples with other American craft, didn't see or ignored what international stuff that was there. The selection is pretty good, focused on Michigan but has some of the harder to find ones, a couple rare Jolly Pumpkin, fix Short's, several Dark Horses etc. Some singles but most are 6 packs, so not as accessible as Cloverleaf. Service was decent, seemed busy and more interested in helping regulars than anyone else.

A good store but I wouldn't come here with Cloverleaf so close unless I was getting groceries as well.

One of the best places in south east Michigan to buy beer. There is nearly always an employee floating around happy to help you with a choice, a growler fill, and the best of all any limited beers they have in stock at the time.

They play zero favorites which goes a long way.

They also post new arrivals, including the limited stuff on Facebook. It also means those beers go quick.

The singles selection is fantastic, but they stop shy of allowing you to mix-match anything in store, which gives one of their close competitors a leg up.

Very well run store and worth the extra drive time vs other places in the area.

excellent selection for a supermarket. Limited singles (and many from very old batches). Good prices on the latest arrivals as they are in quantity. Virtually no service so you are on your own.

Upgraded on 2018 trip, as minimal service provided, taps a tiny plus to watch. Bit also noticed more shelf dwellars.Hit and miss in what's available.

Nice sized beer section for a grocery store. The store itself feels like a warren or a maze, but once you find the beer aisle you're all right. Lots of brews available from across the country and the world, including some limited releases. Great singles selection, four taps for growler fills, lots of Belgian ales (hooray!), but wasnt able to find any variety packs. Decent, comparable prices. The Holiday in Canton is laid out a bit neater, is less busy, and is brighter; this one has a bigger singles selection. Definitely a place to stop on this side of town.

Very haphazard store but has everything - best beer selection in area with knowledgable FULL TIME beer staff. Well organized, best singles selection in area and one of the best fresh food markets around. The Gold Standard on how to run a world marketplace.

Wow! A grocery store that totally rocks the beer scene...we were in town last week for a concert from Ontario...hit about 9 craft beer stores, unfortunately we went here first and we're not looking to overshop early...promptly greeted by several staff, selection was deep including a Michigan only section. Def one of the top spots we hit...this would be be one of one or 3 stops when we come back.

Having moved to Michigan over a year ago, we have finally settled into the local beer scene, and Holiday Market is a big part of what makes us feel at home.

The beer section of the store is located towards the back of what is otherwise a well-kept, modern grocery store. It is not your standard chain, and tends to offer higher quality product, of both the packaged and prepared varieties. Regardless, we are here to talk about the beer, right?! So you walk to the back of the store and you arrive at the beer aisle. All of the beer can be found within this one aisle. The left side is an open cooler that runs about halfway up the aisle, and contains your typical “racks” of BMC. Opposite that is stacked wire shelving housing the craft. There are additional displays flanking and in front of this that typically advertise any new seasonal or special releases. Otherwise the majority of the beer is arranged and categorized by brewery and by region. You have all of your Stone, Bruery, and west coast swill together, while the Michigan locals hang out together, and so on. At the far end of the aisle are two singles racks, with a mirrored selection of bottles and cans, of what is available in packs of four and up. They also provide empty six pack boxes, should you need them. It is always tidy, and the bottles and cans remain dust free.

The selection and quality of beer are both excellent, and really second to none that we’ve been able to find in the area, including when you compare on price. You can find beers from coast to coast, and from numerous other countries around the world, with obvious predilection to the heavy hitting nations like Germany and Belgium. Even amongst local Michigan beer they seem to have a much larger and fresher selection than any other local stores. If there is a release you are anticipating then you can usually find it here. For the special, insanely limited releases they have a system of scheduling the release at a certain time on a certain day, and they often try to make it as fair as possible, taking people’s work schedules and such into consideration.

The real prize of this store is the staff, as many have echoed down below. The manager is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and pleasant to chat with. He is always on top of special releases, and continually tries to expand the selection and see what new breweries can be pulled into the local market. They keep their facebook page updated to the minute, and are great about keeping us beer geeks informed.

Overall, Holiday has become our home base, go-to store when it comes to beer. We are continually surprised with the level of commitment and passion that goes into how they run and maintain their beer selection. We have never been displeased with a purchase, and have really never had a negative exchange or experience while visiting. We highly recommend this store if you’re just passing through looking for a nice cross section of Michigan craft, or if call southeast Michigan your home, and want to keep up with all that is coming and going locally.

I like to come to Holiday Market, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Like other places though, the stock of what I hoped to find by traveling there was alos out of stock. I came looking for a number of beers that I hoped to find (Linenkugel Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout, Dogfish Head 120 Min IPA, and Stone-Chipotle Porter), and they were out of stock on each one. What I did find was acceptable. I would continue to go here to find rare beers.
