Pale golden orange, slight unfiltered haze, visible carb trails, two fingers of foam, specks of spotty lace around the edges of the glass.
Aroma is fairly mild, floral hop, light peppery yeast, grainy malt. Mellow and rustic.
Grainy rustic malt and farmhouse yeast, peppery and dry. Fairly hoppy, bitter dandelion greens, grassy.
Crisp and effervescent, light and vaguely astringent, it’s a delicate and rustic BdG, and apparently misunderstood.

Collaboration with Jester King Brewery.
Slightly veiled golden yellow. Good white creamy foam.
Fresh, pleasant smell, wheat notes, spiciness, white pepper, floral. Some hints of honey.
Fresh taste too, spicy, white pepper, orange. Light acidulous notes.
Bread crust.
Again a bit acidulous in the aìftertaste, light citrus fruit.
Very fresh and pleasant.

Pours a very large fizzy head with med retention, foamy rocky looking, with a bit of messy spotty lacing, fairly hazy slight clear tan golden color with a touch of peach hue
Nose brings great farmhouse saison aromas, straight out of Belgium, cracker doughy malts, a touch of wheat maybe, quite floral with a flowery almost dandelion character, mild spicy phenols, with some perfumey phenol characters, fruity esters with a little bubblegum, noble grassy hop, with a mild farmhouse funk, a mild floral honey character
Taste starts with some bitter notes, a bit of a noble grassy almost spicy hop character, lots of fruity notes with generic fruity esters, a hint of bubblegum, some pome fruit, maybe even a little banana I think, spicy phenols with a more potpourri spice, and some farmhouse funk, dry gritty like, mild cracker cereal grain, doughy wheat, some raw honey and dry fermented honey mixed, more bubblegum notes late as well as some citrus zest, with some spicy grassy noble hops, med bitterness on very dry finish, bone dry, but not astringent, almost herbaceous like as well, hops get a tad aggressive on the finish
Mouth is med bod, high effervescent prickly carb
Overall an interesting fun beer, very earthy raw saison/biere de garde, very nice yeast additions, honey was good, malts were good, hops started nice but just got too aggressive and spicy bitter on the finish, otherwise a really nice beer

So light and crisp, aromas of pepper and white grapes. Spring time, subtle straw notes. Like a delicate fair-haired maiden among the tulips. Gentle and fragile.

My second from Au Baron and the label seems to have the same artist as the Jonquilles label (a fabulous ale.)
I got both at Beer Temple and they had several. A collaboration with Jester King keeps this active and, I'd guess, better distributed.
In brief, Noblesse Oblige lacks a yeasty yeast to become great... but the Biere is made interesting by the spices.
More specifically, it is a good-Looker with a lasting foam. A better yeast would yield fruitier Smells... (I'm not excited.)
Tastes are malty sweet initially, but the middle gives way to a dry and spicy finish. Nicely soft in my mouth.
Bottom-line: Goes great with food; bubbles cutting the fat and spices making the food better. Drank with two stewy foods and a medley of leftovers. To me, that is what biere de gardes are supposed to do: make mediocre meals better.
9/26/22 Found again at The Beer Temple (thank you.) Edited the review above and drank with my world-famous vegetable soup and my favorite cheese bread. A happy pairing for all.
I haven't made a micro-review for Au Baron. This one is short because I couldn't find the English button and I do not have patience for French. But I surmise that their third generation brewery and restaurant are on the Belgian border. It all makes sense that this Biere is good at the table. It's what their culture does. But, we are learning fast in North America. Hence the collaboration with Jester King.

A: Pours a well-attenuated, light golden-yellow (with very slight amber hues), with a very light, frothy, thee finger head.
S: Has that wonderful, hop decayed dankness that comes from the green bottle, as well as a nice spiciness and some citrus and pepper, with a very slight malt sweetness. Some wonderful graininess comes through as well.
T: Wonderfully spicy and astringent, with a soft but noticeable malt sweetness and understated touches of honey. A prominent grainy note abounds as well.
M: dry as hell and medium bodied.
O: I love this beer, I've never had a brasserie au baron beer before, and full disclosure that's why I bought this beer and I was not disappointed. Loved it, peppery, dry, bitter, complex but refined and quite grainy
