Served in a pint.

A: pours a hazy golden orange color with a short tan head which is coupled with medium amounts of lacing.

S: Smells of wheat, yeast, citrus peels, grass and grains

T: Light and crisp. Tastes of wheat, yeast, malts, citrus, grass, tinge of hops

M: Medium bodied beer with ample amounts of carbonation culminating in an excellent summer beer.

O: Overall, this Weisse is an excellent complement to the warmer weather. It is crisp, flavorful and balanced. It’s also fairly affordable, or at least if you buy it in bulk from Costco.

Poured a burnt orange color with decent head that dissipated quickly. There was some limited lacing but did not really hold the glass. Outstanding smell, you get the sweet wheat plus some banana and citrus. Smells delicious. Taste was similar to smell but much more muted. Not very smooth. You get some carbonation but it is less than creamy. Kinda thin and fizzy. Overall a decent wheat beer that I would have no problem drinking but certainly not special.

Pours a cloudy copper colour. Smells like light, sweet yeasts, and a little spicy. Tastes like fruity yeasts, a litttle banana, vanilla, cloves, lightly sweet, and clean.

From a bottle.
Hazy body is the color of dark straw and covered by a durable head.
Banana and yeast in the nose with hints of tropical fruits and faint spices.
These all carry over to the flavor which adds some white pepper.
Light and lively body.

11oz bottle (best by 02/17) poured into a gimlet glass.
Slightly cloudy off-gold colored body floats a weak whitish head.
Aroma is banana and clove and a malt is added in the flavor.
Clean and a little bubbly feel.
A classic. Just not my style. I want to bathe in their Oktoberfest.

Definitely more bubblegum esters than the typical banana-clove of a German weizen. Gave it a good pour and roused the yeast and a bit surprised that it is not more cloudy. Very drinkable with a slightly sweet, yet tart, finish. Soft mouthfeel without coming across too full-bodied. The store on the corner is always out of this beer, so I bought some when I saw it. Must be a lot of thirsty old Germans in the neighborhood.

From the 12 oz bottle in a pint glass. This fine hefe pours a cloudy light
amber with a very nice head of foam that settles to a thick ring, thick layer, and
very nice lacing. Nose of bananas, yeasty bread, and subtle spice. Flavors exceed the
nose with banana bread and soft wheat notes on all sides, subtle clove hits middle to
rear of the taste and finishes with a nice light sweet wheat bread note and a touch of lemon zest.
Nice mouth feel, smooth, creamy, lightly carbonated, and refreshing. One of the best from Germany.

From bottle. Faint aroma of citrus and yeast. Pours a hazy golden with white head. Very mild sweet taste. Medium body, creamy texture, and average carbonation. Overall a nice refreshing brew.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a hazy golden amber with an orange cast; with a one finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat, hints of lemon very light clove and banana. Flavor follows with wheat and quite light clove, banana and some dry husky wheat in the finish, leaving a dry, spicy aftertaste. Light to medium bodied with great carbonation. A classic hefeweizen, but the flavors seem rather subdued. The flavor that is present is pleasant and carries through the whole taste, but leaves me wishing for a bit more robustness. A good hefeweizen, but in a style that has some really outstanding competition. Obviously well made and I will try other styles from this brewery.
