Great looking golden copper colour with around a finger of head. Malt and caramel on the nose. The taste follows the nose, with sweet malts and caramel coming to the fore, followed by a very slight bitterness. Great mouth-feel... Very smooth. Overall, a great Oktoberfest lager.

Pours a copper color with over a finger of head. The nose is malty and bready. The flavor follows the nose. The body is not quite up to my expectations for the style.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice burnished brown amber color with a small head. Initial hints of malty sweetness, biscuits and caramel. Minimal bitterness. Soft on the palate.

We bought this last fall and enjoyed it a lot. I like the taste and the color. I like their wheat beer more but this was good. I will buy it next fall when it comes out.

From the bottle, it pours a darkish amber with a modest head. Definite malt in the nose. Definite malt in the mouth. Some lace like stuff on the sides as the beer is enjoyed. Yum!

Poured into dimpled seidel. A little fizz, but no head. A bit of lace. Pale amber color.

Malt nose with crisp spice background, classic Märzenbier.

Bready caramel malt up front, spice (hop?) faint on the end. A little honey.

A straightforward Märzen , one of the official Munich brews, more in the classic aged lager style of the original fests. Great malty brew. As delightful to drink as its name is to say.

After having a couple of lesser oktoberfests this year i started to question if i still really liked them, well this one reminded me again how great of a beer an oktoberfest can be and should be.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light brown color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is all malt. The taste is rich toasted malt. An excellent beer.

A beer I think gets unfortunately caught up in the ownership nonsense-- sure Hacker-Pschorr is owned by one of the big dogs, but that does not mean that all Hacker-Pschorr brews are garbage. This is really an excellent märzen and one that I was happy to see was easily available this fall. Nice caramel malt body, good bready notes, and a subtle hint of herbal bitterness on the very back end. A very drinkable märzen and one I definitely would not hesitate getting again.

Poured from bottle into mug. It pours a deep amber with one finger of fluffy, milk-white head and lacing with nice retention. It's a beautiful pour. It smells of roasted malt, biscuit, nuts, and a whiff of caramel. The taste opens with some caramel sweetness along with a nice malty base. It also features toast, nuts, grass, and just a hint of bitterness at the finish. It is medium-bodied, pleasantly carbonated, and built for drinking with its moderate ABV of 5.8%. Overall, it's a really good Marzen. It's flavorful but light enough to enjoy during a Fall activity.

Poured 2 bottles into a tall 22oz wheat glass. The head is creamy, bubbly with deliciousness all around it. Color is a caramel, copper brown Marzen perfect for watching football or baseball playoffs, screams October. Only better Oktoberfest is paulsner. Slow tiny bubbles rising to top, tastes delicious. Taste is malted caramel toffee mixed with alcohol delight that sizzles on the tongue.
