Pours a golden yellow colour with two finger white head which quickly evaporates into a micro film.

Nice and fizzy, just enough carbonation.

Very well balanced bready malt and herbal hop flavour.

Never had a bad German brewed Helles, and this is another beauty.

11.2oz bottle poured into a pint glass shows a bright golden yellow body and floats a quickly disippating white head.
Minimal active bubbles and no lacing. Enjoy by end of 03.17, only 2 1/2 months late.
Aroma and flavor is classic noble hops and clean malt back. The floral hint is nice.
Mouthfeel is medium and clean.
Overall this should be always in my fridge.

I used to think this was benchmark of lager beers. It still is outstanding, but a bit malty. If you are looking for a great lager, this is still one to go to.

From Decervecitas. In Bavaria Hefe glass. Playing 12 Labours of Hercules V. Sweet bready malt with grassy hops bitterness and a light body. Nice but I miss a bit more body. Good initial aspect but foam dissipates pretty quick

A: [3.50] The bottle has a date code (11/16) but I am not sure what that refers to. It also lists the ABV (5.5%). The beer is a pale golden color. Almost no head at all.

S: [3.50] Very Lager-y. It has corn, sweetness from the malts, maybe some spiciness from some hops.

T: [4.00] Flavor is better than the nose. Very sweet with caramel and toffee flavors. There is also some grassiness and spiciness from the hops.

M: [3.50] A little thin and fizzy.

O: [3.50] I have a warm spot for Hacker-Pschorr in my heart. This was my go to beer in Germany when I visited. This is a decent lager. I am sure I am giving a small bump for nostalgia. The taste is quite good. The nose is prototypical lager. The appearance is lacking head so that is a bit of a downer at the start. This is a great dock beer or something for socializing.

11.2 FL OZ bottle
Served in a pokal glass

It pours a brilliant golden hue and is topped with two inches of creamy, white head that leaves some decent lacing.

It has a mild skunked flavor with an underlying grain sweetness. Light floral notes round out the aroma.

The flavor is sweet and grainy with hints of floral hops.

Thin mouthfeel

It is a decent beer. It is better than I expected.

Very Pilsner-y to me. Malt forward and a moderate fizz. Not very heavy and a bit on the watery side. Looks and smells great though. Not bad.

From a 330 ml bottle (code says 11.16) into a nonic. Reviewed from notes dated September 19, 2016.

A-The beer is definitely bright in color with a nice golden hue and good clarity. Not much carbonation to be seen and the white head fades quickly leaving patches of foam on the top. No lacing.

S-The aroma is simple and pleasant. Notes of toasted bread, toasted grain, and just a hint of sweetness. Hops are subtle and European/noble in flavor; there is just a little grassy hit of bitterness. Smells clean and crisp.

T-The taste mostly tracks the aroma. Malts are pretty dry with flavors of toasted white bread and grain. None of the cooked vegetable flavor that often accompanies lower ranked beers of this style. The finish leaves my palate with a little hit of leafy, hoppy bitterness. Tastes clean and crisp.

M-The body is medium to light in heft with a fine-but-active carbonation that persists on the palate.

O-This is a good beer, but nothing special. You don't have to think too much about it, but you won't really want to think too much about it.

I'm not up to speed on all of the technical criteria on beers (yet), but I make it a practice of trying new beers often. This is the best beer I've ever had. I do NOT like hoppy beers....bitter is not appealing to me. This beer is beautiful gold, smooooooth, and flavorful. Excellent. Best. Ever.

This was my 2nd beer while playing bocce ball at a German pub in Denver. I figured since we were at a German place that I might as well be ordering German beer. Something nice and light was in order and this fit the bill. The color of this beer is a bright golden hue that is clear in appearance and features low carbonation. The head is white, frothy, thick, and dissipates very slowly to a thin lacing. 4.25/5 The aroma is very similar to the pilsner that I had right before this with grassy hops and pilsner malt really coming to the forefront. However, this beer is much more malty and sweet with less of a hop forward profile. Buttered white bread, pilsner malt, grassy hops, and light caramel really come out nicely here. 3.75/5 The sweet maltiness is really showcased here with a light caramel leading off before buttered white bread comes to the forefront. There is a deep grainy sweetness that is very rich (for cereal grains). Right before the grassy hops come in there is a note of light green apple that just peeks out before disappearing. There is some bitterness from the grassy hops but not much in comparison to the sweetness of the malt. 4.25/5 As sweet as this beer is, the mouthfeel is rather light and wet without being viscous or cloying. There is some minor drying that lingers slightly upon swallowing. The carbonation is very light with only a light tickle up front. 4.25/5 This is really an enjoyable beer that is great on its own or paired with food. Much sweeter than a pilsner but still nice and light. Simple, straightforward, sessionable, and layered, while still being approachable. 4/5
