L: The beer pours with a nice foamy head that slowly dissipates into a fine lace. The color description "burnt orange" seems best here. Held up to the light it appears dark orange and away from the light it appears a dark amber. The beer is also very hazy and retains a good number of small bubbles. Nigh perfect for a dunkelweizen.

S: The beer smells creamy with subtle notes. I smell roasted caramel, banana and spices. A bit weak, but what is there is very inviting.

T: The beer starts very smooth, almost creamy and full of rich roasted caramel notes that match the banana and clove notes very nicely. It is both sweet and bitter. An incredibly well balanced beer. The finish is far from clean and leaves you with some of the taste lingering on your palate.

F: The beer is very rich and creamy with a moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel also lingers on after you swallow each sip. Quite delightful.

O: A great example of the dunkelweizen style and a target for any homebrewed dunkelweizens that I attempt. It might well be my favorite example of the style as it exemplifies the the balance between smooth and creamy, sweet and bitter, light and roasted that I feel defines a dunkelweizen. I highly recommend this one.

This beer was poured from an 11.2oz bottle and enjoyed in a Erdinger World Cup weissbier glass at apx. 60F.

On tap, enjoyed on a sunny afternoon at Wurst.
Orange brown, slightly hazed, with a 2 inch foamy tan head. Foam faded to a floating film
leaving small streaks of lace.
Smell is of wheat, a bit of yeast, spice, and some banana aromas.
Taste has all the same elements of wheat, spices, and caramel sweetness. Slightly smoky
(more than the Erdinger Dunkel).
This beer has a lower level of carbonation, finishes with a slightly crisp mouthfeel.
Overall, this is a very good dunkelweizen, too bad I have glanced over it before.

Pours a cloudy brown amber with a slowly fading beige head. Aroma and tat of wheat, some mild banana notes and grass, light caramel, yeast flavors as well. A medium body with mild carbonation. The finish the same as taste with a bit of a nutty yeast ending, mild wheat flavor. An enjoyable brew

This is the smoothest beer I have ever tasted. It also is sweet not bitter which turns me off.
It has a smooth creamy head that makes it even better. I compare it to 30 year old Scotch!
Try it, you will like it. Now if I could just find more like this. My local distributor did not order
enough so my local retailers are out of it. Need some near zip code 54914.
