This is one hell of a poor black beer. Bought this beer a week ago when i was in Berlin. Pours allright with a nice black colour and a decent head. After that the rest is very poor. there are far more better black beers in Germany than this one. It lacks a bigger abv.

A: Pours dark brown with hues of red, with a medium-tall beige, a bit uneven head. Dissipates into decent lacings.
S: Hard roasted malts, almost smoked. Smoked ham and strong black coffee together with lots of dark dried fruits. Some vanilla and some chocolate.
T: Sweet dark malt, hard roasted. Lots of dark dried fruits. Vanilla.
M: Aftertaste is short and both bitter and sweet, body is medium and carbonation is strong.
O: This was a bit too sweet for my taste when it comes to Schwarzbiers.

Appearance: Dark chestnut, almost black; huge beige head
Aroma: Malty; roasted barley; dried fruit
Taste: Juicy malt sweetness on start; slight bitter taste in mid; sweet finish; almost dessert-like flavor; pepsi like
Remarks: Not beer-like; very sweet; however, I do like the flavor; just don't want to drink too much of it.
Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

This is a nice example of a schwartzbier in Germany. It pours a nice dark almost black color with a nice head that leave some lace. It smells of dark almost burnt malt which is usually the case with schwarz beers. It has a nice malty taste that is too bitter with dark malt for my liking. It has a heavy mouth feel but not overwhealming. All in all a better than the average German Schwartzbier.

A beer with added E950, E951 and E954, suspicious to say the least.
A pitch black beer with some deep ruby red hues and a small head, the foam leaves a nice lacing on the glass.
Smell is strong molasses with a smokey twist, earthy with a horsey sugary vegetable burned sugar in the back of the smell, like a sidestream of a sidestream of the endstream of sugar production, dark and unrefined.
Taste of molasses with the same added off flavor also mentioned in the smell. This is also the main taste, a dark unrefined molasses taste that is sweet and sickening, also because of the added sweetener, that I can seem to taste now I know. There is not a lot of positive I can say about this beer, this is more like a soda, or a very bad porter.
