It had a nice hazy yellow orange glow. The aroma was tropical, but it was very subdued almost to the point of lacking. This just didn't come together for me. It didn't have enough oomph for a DIPA.

One of those average DIPA's. Drinks like a southern tier 2XIPA but comes up short. Taste of fruit rinds, some spice and a light boozy undertone. Not much hop flavor which to me is what makes a double.

Great looking hazy golden orange beer with a huge soapy white head. Smell is not very potent, but tropical notes are apparent. Taste follows suit, not very bold but light tropical hops are all im getting, mostly oranges and pineapple. Not much malt at all. Almost reminds me of a session DIPA if there were such a thing. Feel is way too light, also cannot taste alcohol at all, shocked that this is 9% abv. Overall its ok, but nothing to write home about. I much prefer Caged Alpha Monkey from this brewery.

No visible bottling date. Bought on a recent trip to upstate NY.

a: Hazy orange with a finger thick white head which receded to thin surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Oranges and slight vinegar.

t: Piney bitterness up front with considerable strength over a medium bready malt base. Bitterness lingers on the tongue.

m: Medium, very good body and carbonation tingle.

o: Possibly an aged bottle, all bitterness, good malt base helps but not particularly tasty otherwise. I liked their Alpha Monkey a lot when I had one last year, but this was just an average DIPA. But then I had had some Hill Farmstead Susan earlier, so this might have suffered in rating by comparison.
