A homage to Blue Point Brewing Company’s storied history – a tale that is preserved on the original Tasting Room bar top that dates to 1997 – Mosaic Session IPA is a straw-colored, West Coast style that showcases serious aroma. It features Mosaic, Simcoe, Centennial, and Cascade hops that lend strong tropical fruit characteristics to a light body and dry finish. Our Session IPA has a complex India Pale Ale flavor without all the punch.

Pleasantly surprised by this one, very smooth and easy to drink but not watery, nice grapefruit hop presence, great summer beer for the price.

Amber/gold appearance with a medium size, off white head and modest lacing. Aroma of soft fruit and citrus. Citrus flavors are more pronounced up front as the soft, tropical fruit recedes. Sweet malts make small dent in the aftertaste. Well carbonated with a lingering, spicy finish.

16 oz can. Easy drinking session IPA. Not too hoppy or bitter. Slight citrus scent and taste. Wish there was a little more but this is a truly sessionable beer. Very drinkable and tasty. Would be great for summer. My can doesn’t say “session” just Mosaic IPA

Pours a beer yellow with fair clarity and 1/4" white head. Aroma was more of the other hops than it was Mosaic. Wasn't enough Mosaic to overcome the Centennial and Cascade. A lot of that forest and grapefruit rind aroma that you get from bittering C hops moreso.
The taste is pretty much the same as the nose, you get primarily Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe giving it a firm bitterness even if the malt bill was bigger than a session. The slightly weird thing was that the Mosaic of all places showed up down the road in the mouth feel. So the bittering hops make up the aroma and the aroma hop gives a little bit of tropical feel at the end of the beer.
Its a good enough beer that fulfills that summer hop drinking easily. For having four different hops in this beer, it seems they named it after the one they used the least of. That's ok, it was still good.
