Having this beer on-tap at the hotel bar at the hotel in Celeron, NY on Lake Chataqua I am staying at on vacation with my wife and her family. This beer draws a clear, medium golden color with a white head that’s about half an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some very nice lacing. Also has a nice cluster swirl of surface foam. Aromas of some bready malts with slight caramel sweetness and a bit of blueberry and a slight earthy and spicy hop aroma. A similar flavor profile, with some just slightly toasted, bready malts with slight caramel sweetness and a nice hint of blueberry that’s rounded out with a slight earthy hop presence with a touch of spice. Has a smooth, slightly crisp, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish and slightly dry aftertaste. Very drinkable. An okay beer, but nothing special. Wish I had known this brewery is actually owned by Anheuser Busch/In Bev before I bought it. Because I would certainly have chose a different beer at the bar instead of this had I know that head of time.

From a 12 oz. bottle into a Perfect Pint glass, a fairly vigorous pour yields a glass full of clear golden liquid with moderate precipitating carbonation capped by a thin, clumpy white head. There is definitely a blueberry scent on the nose, reminiscent of the artificial blueberries in boxed muffin mix. In the mouth, there's distinct blueberry and malt with very little hops. Mouth is a bit thin and watery. Overall: OK, one of the better "fruity" beers I've tried, but nothing special. Would not go out of my way for another.

Golden color, faint cloudiness under light. Light mouthfeel. Prominent artificial blueberry aroma. Smells a bit like a blueberry instant oatmeal packet. Low bitterness, fairly sweet. A bit tart. Unoffensive, easy to drink.

I don’t like fruit beers and frankly, it was an accident i tried it. Tbh, i hated this and has justified my personal fruit vendetta. If you, like me, hate fruit beer but, unlike me, were thinking of drinking this on purpose hoping this might be some sort of exception, you are sorely mistaken.
Good quality if you like that sort of thing, tho

i dont dislike this at all, maybe a bit sweeter than it needs to be, preventing me from making a day of it, but despite this sort of tasting cheap and artificial, its still pretty palatable. to me its a bit of a red flag when you make a beer with blueberries and its golden in color. visually there is no trace of fruit here at all. golden and clear, minimal head. it smells sweet and jammy like baked blueberry pie rather than fresh fruit, perhaps a little syrupy or extracty, but its appealing nevertheless, more fall than summer to me for some reason. simple light yellow beer underneath, not much happening there at all. the blueberries are about the same in the flavor, sweet and not totally natural, but really robust and sort of cooked tasting, like they should go over vanilla ice cream. there is some residual sugar here, almost corny in the grain, but its smooth to drink on, i dont miss higher carbonation, and when its really cold, its pretty good. not at all my favorite beer from these guys, but also nowhere near the worst blueberry beer out there in this style right now, not even close!

Plear pale golden color with a light head that dissipates quickly; A very definite aroma of blueberries; Sparkly carbonated feel; Very mild taste with just a hint of blueberry. I received an assortment of Blue Point beers as a gift. Blueberry beer is not something I would choose but it isn't unpleasant - I'll drink all six.

BA has this listed as Blue Point Blueberry. The label on the bottle says Blueberry Ale

Was hesitant going into this one, but it actually wasn't half bad. Didn't taste overly artificial, tasted pretty natural. The blueberries definitely come through in the smell, but showed skilled restraint in the way it comes through in the flavor. It is definitely there, but leads more of a supporting role to the ales flavor profile. It still tastes like a beer with some blueberries bursting through. Not half bad in flavor or execution; however, I still wonder if blueberry is something I want in my beer.

Wouldn't kick it to the curb, but not so sure I would go search out a six pack of it.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is dominated by blueberries. Taste is mild, blueberries, grains, light malts, a touch dry at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it's a decent beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a semi-clear amber color with red highlights with a small white head. The aroma is a thick synthetic blueberry smell. The taste is overwhelmingly fake blueberry with some malt and wheat.

This was poured into a pint glass and had a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than twenty seconds (that was quick). There’s not much lacing. The smell had some blueberries but a grainy/wheaty thing going on. Interestingly thick but combined in a decent way. The taste was mainly sweet but had that grainy/wheaty thing going on in the flavor. On the palate, this one sat right at a medium on the body probably because of that grainy/wheatiness that gives a bit of a kick in the finish. Overall, hmmmm...weird beer. I’m not exactly sure what to think of this beer. Probably not exactly one to revisit.

Pale golden with fizz, but just a ring of white. Aroma is certainly berry, not much else. Flavor is malty with a light berry flavor. Thin mouthfeel, over-carbonated, weird finish that's unpleasant. Would not have this again.

Bottle left over from a party, and it's easy to see why.

L: Unexceptional light golden color and decent lacy head.
S: Strong blueberry scent, not unpleasant and no less than what could be expected from a flavored beer
T: Boring, not very fruity, couldn't finish it fast enough.
F: Fizzy, thin, unsophisticated, not enjoyable at all.
O: I recently participated in a tasting of Belgian ales, several of which were fruit-infused. They were much, much better than this. I've had other Blue Point products before and they have been fine. This was a complete misfire. Avoid.

Got as a gift! Served at 4deg C in a draught glass. 12oz bottle

A- Opens well and pours a good 1" high white head that is gone in seconds. Very light gold colour and filtered clear.

S- Not much here but metallic. Yuk

T- Horrible. Just a fizzy messy crappy brew that has an artificial taste that is horrible.

M- Dry. Extremely dry!

O- Not for me. Plain and simple. Had other blueberry brews and this one is pretty crappy. Would rather drink water

Food Pairing

Sorry but this brew is crap and not worth a pairing

You won't enjoy

Had this on the Staten Island ferry, assuming it would be a toasted lager. Lo and behold, this is what they handed me when I asked for a blue point. A decent fruit beer that is not overly sweet. Great blueberry essence dominates, but still a good malt backbone to keep it balanced. Tastes like a blueberry pie. Not really my thing, but a decent fruit beer nonetheless.

12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a perfect pint glass

This beer pours a golden hue and is clear. It is topped with an inch of off white head that leaves a little lacing.

I smell some blueberry along with the base ale smell.

It tastes like your average ale flavored with blueberries. Nothing to see here.

Thin mouthfeel

This is an average blueberry ale. The blueberry is not overpowering but complimentary to the the ale.

Smells strongly of blueberries from the second you open the bottle. When you take a sip the berry flavor is mild. Nothing is really overpowering. It tastes light and crisp with a blueberry aftertaste and it goes well with food.

Worth a try even if fruit beers aren't your thing because the blueberry flavor is subtle, and comes out more towards the end, making this a nice, crisp, warm weather session option.
