Notes / Commercial Description:
Our flagship and most popular brew, Toasted Lager is the best American Amber Lager you’ll ever taste.

To back up that claim, we use six different grains to perfect a balanced flavor of malt and hops, and a special proprietary lager yeast to give Toasted Lager an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish that’s meant to be enjoyed year-round. Pairs perfectly with fresh seafood...or any food for that matter.

Pours a clear coppery/reddish color with off-white/ivory colored head. Caramel malts, toast, biscuit, and some cereal on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes pretty clean and crisp with a nice biscuit note.

Poured from a 12 oz. brown bottle into a Sam Adams pint glass. A date for "brewery fresh taste" is notched on the side of the label.
A: Amber color, deepish red at top and more orangey towards bottom. One inch of frothy tan head, fades to a thin layer atop the beer. Nice foamy lacing throughout.
S: Sweet malts, with caramel and honey. Toasty and pleasant.
T: Malty at first, with some toastiness and sugars. Slight amount of bitterness towards the finish, but it's mild. Sweet throughout. As the beer warmed, I noticed a stronger, unpleasant alcohol presence in the finish.
M: Solid and refreshing at first, but overly tingly in the finish. Almost harsh as the temperature increased and the alcohol made itself present.
D: Not great. An unpleasant finish.
Overall, an interesting lager. Pleasing at first, but it didn't persist after warming. Drank cold, this would be much better.
