Not an enjoyable beer to drink. A disappointing beer.

Light and crisp, mostly flavorless with a wierd sourness that prevents it from being completely flavorless. Not terrible for the hot weather. I won't have trouble finishing the 18 pack, but I definitely won't buy any more.

Poured from a 12oz can stamped "best by 11/02/19 14:14:12" (like the time matters).
Slightly hazy light yellow body below a minimal white head. Lots of carbonation rising from the bottom.
Smells like an AAL with definite corn adjunct hint.
Taste is surprisingly okay. A hint of sourness and salt actually makes this refreshing.
Can says brewed with sea salt so I get that part, but I don't know where this sourness is coming from. Oddly, it's the beer's saving grace.
I would take this over BMC offerings if I was stuck on a boat in the sun.

If the idea was to replicate the taste of sea water in a beer then "Shore Thing" is spot on!
I have never ever poured a beer down the drain. After fighting through finishing 2 of these I had to ditch the rest.

I'm not really sure about this. I enjoy beer of any style but this one seems a bit out of place. Needed a crisp lager, and got some weird salty gose impersonating something or nother. I have had good luck with Blue Point before, but this one will be reserved as guest drinks for me. It just ain't right.

There is a best by date on the bottom of the can. The pour is yellow with a fair amount of carbonation, but the head dies down really fast & that's usually not a good thing for a lager. There is not much on the aroma maybe some bread yeast. The taste is really flat & sour vinegar on the finish. I don't know what's wrong with this beer but it was not made right or something. I'm going to try & drink it as fast as I can. Cheers! C-

Bought this last night out of the local grocery store cooler, put it in the freezer for 20 minutes and drank it from the can. What I really like about this beer is that it starts off with a light lager experience and finishes with a snap of sourness that I really enjoyed. The transition from a light-tasting lager to a very mild sour was a really nice surprise and makes this a good summer beer in Florida, in my opinion.

This beer is awful, tastes like apple cider vinegar. The only "shore thing" is I will never buy again. Thankfully it was bogo and my other half was toasted.

A poor version of Michelob Ultra for double the price. This is not a sure thing. It's in a can and not skunked so I will finish it

A can of Bluepoint The Shore Thing at refrigerator temperature was poured into a Blue Point glass on June 1, 2019. It has a very pale body with a bubbly white head. To me, this beer tastes like a common American industrial lager. I would expect a little interesting hop character, given the general trend toward extreme hopping. In the days before microbrews, I did enjoy some of the mainstream lagers (Schaefer, Huber, National Boh). But there is not much here to recommend. If I liked this style, I'd save some money and buy Genesee or Utica Club beers.

This is fine. I picked it up for some Memorial day barbecuing at my parents place back on Long Island. It is a golden lager with little flavor beyond pale bread malts and a wisp of wimpy hops but that is kind of the deal with this style so I am not sure what people are whining about. It is good cold while eating apps, grilling meat, and complaining about the Mets.

Medium body with medium light carbonation
Aroma is lemony citrus, malt, grain ,cracker
Taste is similar to taste with lots of lemon citrus up front. Some grain bread and toasted followed.
I seemed to enjoy this more than other reviewers,it was an enjoyable but definitely not world class beer

Really disappointing beer here. Pours medium straw gold with a nice head that immediately dissipates. Smells of grass and biscuit. Virtually no taste whatsoever, with a flat salty finish. This is what tends to happen when a wildly successful local (to me) craft brewer is bought out by AB InBev. Really terrible, I could have bought a Coney Island Mermaid Pilsner (delicious) and saved $1 on the 6 pack. Crap

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded quickly to a thin collar; no lacing;
S: corn, malt sweetness, and a hint of hop spice;
T: follows the nose with a slight sourness from the middle through the finish; mild bitterness at the end;
M: light bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: to me, the touch of sourness in the flavor isn't something that works with this style;

had to read the fine print on the can to find out that it was brewed with sea salt, which certainly explains the bizarre flavor
do not know that i would describe this beer drinking experience as “enjoyable”
