Short lived head and no lace. The liquid is pale straw, almost like water. Light green hue. Nearly clear.

Light berry aroma behind a stronger floral hop bite.

Light and airy, thinnish body with normal carbonation. Lightly weedy, but it's mild overall. The malt is nearly missing while the hop bites well.

12 oz can. Pours golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of lemon zest, bready malt and piney hops. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of citrusy hops, biscuit malt, and ripe fruit. Finish is long and dry. OK brew.

Disclaimer: Not a professional beer rater, just a guy who enjoys a tasty beer!

-Very light in color. Slightly hazy but definitely see-through.

-Smells like citrus

-Thin mouth feel. Wouldn't go as far as to say its watery but its definitely far from viscous.

-Pretty tasty and 'balanced' in that someone who is not very fond of IPA may enjoy this one. Not disappointed but I probably wont purchase this again. If this was the only beer available at a bar, I would surely still pound a few down!

BB date sometime in Nov. Very light straw color.Nose is pure citrus with lemon and grapefruit pith as the forerunners. Taste is similar to the nose, but you get the hops and yeast. Very light mouth feel. This is more in line with a pale ale. No hop presence. No pine. Good carb. This is not an IPA. Bought a single at $1.83. I would not purchase again.

Growler of the month at Tullys - $8 for a 64 oz fill in your jug - not bad. Got home and poured into pint glass a clear pale yellow with a fizzy bubbly head. Aroma is citrus, fruity and clean. Taste is pretty middle of the road - nothing too memorable. Mouth feel is very thin. I was expecting more so I suppose I'm disappointed. I'm going to finish it but not look for it again.

Poured from a freshness dated 12 oz. can: clear, deep golden to honey hue with a very nice, foamy white head that recedes slowly leaving a small amount of lacing.

Very tangy aromas of mango and some citrus.

Well now, not a very prominent hop profile for an American IPA at least. In fact, this is more like a pale ale in many aspects. There is certainly a complement of bittersweet hops, but it is all mild and restrained. I detect some mango and hints of orange along with some vague butterscotch flavor in the background. The brewery's website describes this is a combination of all the IPA styles currently in vogue, including New England and West coast styles to make, presumably, an eastern seaboard style.

The mouthfeel is ever so slightly watery, but there is an attractive lingering bitterness on the palate.

Overall, this would be far from my first choice for an American IPA, though it certainly has good flavor and is quaffable.

I have tasted dozens of IPA beers . . . . this was one of my worst experiences. Not anywhere near enough hops for me.....too light, too wimpy. Would not buy it again if it were on sale for $1.99 a 6-pack. Blue Point DOES make other terrific brews, and that would include Toasted Lager and Hoptical Illusion. Somebody told me this is a northeastern style IPA and that is true, those people can have it! Ugh....give me West Coast style any day!!!

There is a best by date on the bottom of the can. I like the can artwork, nice use of color. The pour is light yellow in the beer glass. The nose is citrus. The flavor is fairly light for an IPA & i'm getting slight citrus notes. It's quite drinkable for an IPA you can knock back a few cans of these with ease. Cheers! B

Pours a nice head that does't last with a hazy golen color spiked with carbonation bubbles. Nose is citrus hops featuring lemon and grapefruit. Mild but pleasing bitterness in the flavor with a citrus snap and clean finish. Not a bad IPA and tasty in warm weather but not exactly unmissable.

Very pale, light, yellow color. Head looked amazing after a heavy pour but quickly dissipated. Clear with slight carbonation.

Citrus aromas overpower the nose. Smells of peach, lemon and grapefruit. The highlight of the beer.

Taste is of lemon zest, floral hints with a slight bitterness in the back. Malt doesn't make a big appearance.

Too fizzy for an IPA. Light, dry, easy to drink.

Nothing special, feels like a session ipa but with 6% abv. I'm not impressed, pass.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Lagunitas mason glass

L: Slightly cloudy light golden pour. Thick fluffy white head. Nice lacing.

S: Pleasant and citrusy.

T/F: Sweet light malts... citrus forward hops. Grapefruit and lemon zest. Floral and fruity.. modest bitterness. Creamy carbonation. Light bodied.

O: A pleasant IPA. Calling it 'unlike any other' is a bit of a stretch, but it's an easy drinking and sessionable brew. One I'd have again.

First time seeing this beer in Delaware and picked up a six pack. I love Hazy Bastard from this brewery and thought it was worth a try. Wasn’t disappointed at all. Nice citrus scent and floral fruity butter taste. It is very hoppy which made me very happy. Easy to drink with a nice dry finish. Good beer for a good price.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings in Rockaway. Pours a golden, effervescent hue with moderate frothing. Moderate aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile.

A: cloudy; medium gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a splotchy cap; OK lacing;

S: floral first, then ripe pineapple;

T: floral up front, then ripe pineapple through the finish; very mild bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; soft;

O: contrary to the name, I'm pretty sure this is quite similar to any number of IPAs;
