I poured this 12 ounce bottle into my SA glass. Semi-aggressive head resulted in a ever so slightly off-white head of creamy white bubbles. The head hung around around for quite a long time and left very very nioce lacing. A fine looking oktoberfest.

. The aroma weak caramel malts with a mettalic twinge.

The taste is similar to the nose, caramel and biscuit matls with a mettalic twinge. A little more complex than the nose with a slight sweet-n-sour like quality as well. There is a slight spicy/earthy hop flavor and very light bitter edge in the finish.

The mouthfeel is generally on target, could be a little fuller in body for the style. But the creamyness in the feel is cut nicely by a lively effervesence.

There are defintely many better Oktoberfest out there but there are also worse ones for sure. Not terrible to drink but I wouldhave to look elsewhere for my O-Fest fix in the future.

Thanks For Reading

Pours a clear amber. Medium foam. Malty aroma. Rich sweet malt body. Not too sweet. Finishes slightly bitter. Much better than expected.

12oz can poured into a pint

A- pours a clear dull amber color with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces quickly to a film on top

S- toasted grains, bread crust, light notes of caramel, floral hops, slightly doughy

T- sweet and malty with some toasted malt that gives notes of brown bread, crackers and sweet caramel. The finish gives a hint of grassy and floral hops, with more toasted bready malt on the linger

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp finish

Tasting this after a German oktoberfest, the Blue Point tastes very hoppy! Floral hops on the nose, with a bit of malt too. Great mouthfeel/texture. The hops provide a fruity aspect on the palate that overrides the malt. An untraditional, hop forward oktoberfest. For what it is, though, this is a very drinkable beer.

Im sampling a cellar temp 12 oz bottle poured into my .5L dimple mug. Picked up as part of Oktoberfest package from Half Time and just didnt get to this bottle. Datestamp 06feb2022.
The beer pours a bright clear copper color with a light frothy eggshell white head of 1.5 cm. This foam fades to a wispy island and nothing else. The aroma is a bit of toasted malts and some toffee. There are faint whiffs of grassy hops and maybe a bit of lemon. No hints of any ABV. The nose is very mild and faint overall.
First sip reveals a light body with very fine and tingly carbonation. Texture is light and slightly coating on my lips.
Flavor is some toffee and a bit of toasted grain. the toasted notes linger a bit after each swallow. I dont really get any hop notes on the finish and the beer drinks super easy.
The flavor is mild just like the nose. The beer drinks fast, with sort of average flavor. Not one of the best oktoberfests that I drank recently. Kinda meh beer.

12 oz bottle, poured into a nucleated teku at ~40 degrees F.

L: Pours a mostly clear honey-copper, and forms a couple fingers of white foam that dissipate semi-quickly.

S: Somewhat like how a not-yet-glazed donut fresh out of the fryer might smell, I imagine.

T: On taste, this opens as solid sweet caramel malt, and ends as solid bitter earthy herbaceousness. There's not much else going on, aside from that transition.

F: Somewhere in the grey space between light and medium, with a watery breakdown by the finish.

O: Assuredly not a favorite marzen for me, and one I shall likely not repeat.

Yet another Märzen for the tasting event supplied by Half Time. I wish they had sent more Festbiers to keep things balanced, but oh well. This is probably the one I’ve been least excited to try, it’s a relatively low rated beer from a brewery owned by AB. Oh well, let’s just crack it open

Pours a mostly clear amber gold with 3 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing

The nose here isn’t offensive but it isn’t great, it’s an odd blend of sweet and slightly metallic. I’m picking up on aromas of caramel malt, earthy hops, oxidized hops, honey, and light cracker

Yeah, I can see why people say that some American versions of the style are just straight up caramel malt, because that’s exactly what this is. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting caramel malt, golden raisin, toasted bread, and sweet honey. The swallow brings notes of stick sweet caramel, honey, toasted grain, pear, and a touch of diacetyl

A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick and smooth beer. Finished neutral and too sweet

This is definitely my least favorite I’ve had so far this season. Still, it’s not awful, but not ideal

Nice clearance color with medium light carbonation and body.
Aroma is really weak but there's buttery sugary dough, dogs,, caramel.
..taste is really nice mix of buttery, nutty doughy bread, malt, brown sugar
Overall its very good, not world class but a nice try at the style. Could see enjoying more of these as the weather cools.

Look: Dark, toasted, clear gold with lots of visible carbonation bubbles. One finger of white head with good retention.

Smell: Grassy hops, biscuity sweet malt, orange peel.

Taste: Bready, dry malt with a slight bitter aftertaste that turns doughy. Little to no hop flavor.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy body with very high carbonation.

Overall: A decent beer, though severely lacking in hops for the style.

Aroma of cloves. Not much else.

Tastes of nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon.

Light bodied, semi-dry finish. Light carbonation.

Not bad if you like pumpkin spice type beers.
