Stopped by the brewery with the family to enjoy some local brew and beautiful weather. Few ounce sample in a plastic cup. Brew was amber in color. Smells of amber malts. Tastes amber malts with a nice hip on the finish. Some brown sugar and A hint of booze rounds it this nice imperial amber.

On tap at Croxleys Franklin Square.

Darker copper body. Very nice lacing.

Aroma is citrus, orange sherbert.

Very complex malt profile. Roasty, woodys, earthy. Molassas. Slight nuts. Medium strength american hops in the middle. Follows up with more roasty malts in the finish. Dry nutty bitter aftertaste. A nice complex beer.

Lots of different malts and hops went into this beer. Blue point says its 20 ingredients and it tastes like it. Cool beer.

On draft at Croxley's, Smithtown, NY.

Poured a deep amber hue with cascading carbonation that left a one finger frothy white head. There was very Goid retention and lacing.

The smell featured clean caramel malts, with a touch of earthiness and a strange soapiness.

The taste was grainy and nutty with a lingering earthy sweetness. Grassy hops balanced the experience a bit but left a soapy glavor. German malts appear to be at play here.

The mouthfeel was toward the thinner side of the style with a lingering dryness.

Overall an interesting ale. The grain bill is a bit confusing and unfortunately leaves the palate vacant.
