a: This was a very dark brown. It was served to me in a pint glass with, saints be praised, a one and half inch light mocha colored head.
s: Aromas of roasty coffee with a hint of chocolate and some earthy sweetness. I thought I smelled a bit of alcohol, but at 5% abv, that may have been my imagination.
t: This is a very good oatmeal stout. Nothing unexpected, roasty malt flavors of mild coffee and cococa. The sweet oatmeal flavors were there as well, very much in balance.
m: The carboantion was lush and long lasting. It had a pretty good body for such a low abv.
d: I only had time for one with lunch and I think I picked the right one. This was a very solid effort.

Enjoyed in the ground floor of the empire state building. Very creamy body. Easy drinkability, on the lighter side of oatmeal stouts. Some standard roasted notes, milkiness, and breadiness. Nothing too surprising here.

From 01/14/15 notes. Had on tap at Guy's American Kitchen in Times Square, served in a pint glass.
Pours a deep mahogany brown color with one inch of light tan head and moderate cabronation evident. Nose has a lot of coffee to it, and roasted malts, dark chococlate, grains, bread, and cream. Medium body and low carbonation, smooth and creamy.
Overall a decent beer. The nose is very nice and it is super easy to drink, though the taste is not as flavorful. Worth checking out if at Heartland or one of these restaurants.
