Citrusy and hoppy, but not an overkill; its still a rather balanced APA with great head retention and a lovely opaque golden yellow colour. It's not going to rewrite the book, but its a rather enjoyable and tasty beer I'd be glad to order at any pub

I brought a can of this back from a recent trip to Toronto. It poured a hazy yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had nice aroma of citrus peel. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall...might be the best beer I've tried from canada.

Did not enjoy. Tasted like a bad batch of Boneshaker.

The Look: A hazy, pale golden beer, with a nice rich foamy head.
The Smell: Fresh full citrus hoppiness like an American IPA.
The Taste: Again, like an American IPA, a crisp fresh citrus hop, balanced with malty sweetness and lingering bitterness.
The Feel: Combine the crispness and carbonation with the foamy creaminess of the head, it's simply awesome.
Overall, this beer is my new everyday bottle. I love IPA's like Mill Steet West Coast IPA https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3760/223363/ but I want something lighter in ABV for an everyday brew. So I've chosen this beer. Love it!

Received in a trade! Served at 7deg C in a draught glass.

A- Opens well and pours a nice high white head that films out in a minute or so. Medium gold color with a slight iridescent color.

S- Lots of hops here. Nice dry hopped experience.

T- Not very hoppy at all. Needs more wet hopping to get that bite there. Good malt balance though. It's a good brew but just lacking the hop level this beer needs. No heat at all

M- Pretty good. Nice dry and tart tongue.

O- Not a great IPA. Trying to keep the alcohol down has led them to reduce hops. With a touch more hops this beer is a solid 4 of 5. Will choose it if left with other choices are lacking.

Food Pairing

This nice little beer went well with..... BBQ hot dogs. Super light flavor and nice nose goes well with a BBQ any day.

Enjoy

Bottle: Poured a clear bright yellow color ale with a nice large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral citrusy notes are quite nice with light residual sugar notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by nice floral citrusy notes with limited bitterness and some light residual sugar notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Enjoyable session ale with well-balanced bitterness and good floral qualities.

12oz Bottle from the Ottawa LCBO for $2 or so

Appearance - Clear gold colour with a large size fizzy white coloured head. There is a fair amount of carbonation showing and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 5 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Breads/grains, hops, grapefruit, apricots

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste breads/grains mixed with a good dose of hops. There is also some grapefruits and some apricots.

Overall - Seems a lot like the Nicklebrook Naughty Neighbour or the Muskoka detour.. maybe with a touch more dry hop flavour. A good beer that I'll pickup again.

355 mL bottle from a sixer picked up at the LCBO; the first time I've seen this one available locally. Dated Jun 17 2015 (it don't get much fresher than this) and served slightly chilled.

Pours a clear, golden-yellow hue, with one finger of soapy white head seated on top. It lasts for a few minutes before giving up the ghost, leaving behind a flat, foamy film on the surface, as well as a modest-sized collar accompanied by a few wide swaths of lace. The aroma is nice, I guess, despite basically lacking a malt presence. I am mostly getting citrus and fruity notes - lemon pith, some grapefruit, apricot and possibly mango. Approachable, yet underwhelming.

A very clean-tasting, easy-drinking, sessionable hopped ale. Some subtle, pale grainy barley malts and apricot sweetness are easily overwhelmed by the citrusy, juicy tropical fruit flavours that characterize the latter half of the flavour profile. Grapefruit, pineapple and lemon pith astringency surge across the taste buds toward the finish, with the sip ending on a somewhat resiny, almost floral bitterness that lingers into the aftertaste. Light-medium in body, with moderately lively carbonation levels that give this 'all day pale ale' a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. Impressively easy to knock back; this beer doesn't exactly amaze me, but finishing off the six pack shouldn't prove to be much of a challenge for Canada Day.

Final Grade: 3.7, a B grade. I wasn't immediately enamoured with Amsterdam's Cruiser All Day Pale Ale, but three bottles in I'd have to say that it really is a rather fine little brew. The 4.9% makes it a bit borderline for a true session ale, and overall the bitterness is somewhat bolder than that of comparable competitors (such as Detour or Red Racer ISA). Mirroring my feelings for Boneshaker, I find this to be a pretty good beer that is certainly worth a shot, but it's not something I'd rank near the top of its class.
