Crisp and clean, our flagship lager is a golden coloured beer brewed in the tradition of its continental cousins. Using Canadian pale barley, our brewers craft this beer by infusing the malt wort with only the finest aromatic noble hops. After a controlled fermentation with our Danish yeast strain, the beer is chilled and aged until being cold filtered prior to kegging or bottling. The finished product is a very clean and well-balanced hoppy beer without the astringent bitterness of some other European styled lagers. This Blonde is 100% all natural. If you don't believe us, just look under the cap.

Some leftover cans I found in my fridge after a recent shindig/hootenanny. I have yet to really be impressed with anything Amsterdam's released, so I'll happily take a free chance to try their lager.
Poured into a tall lager glass. Actually, I have to say this brew has a lovely appearance for the style. Clear golden, lots of visible carbonation (hopefully it won't burn off completely), and a thick billowy head that won't reced. Sheets and patches of lacing.
Nose is predictably mild: tart apple, pale malt, hops, a bit of lemon. Not bad.
Starts with a tart apple bite, followed by pale malts and a light hoppy finish that is quite dry and metallic. The metallic tang gets progressively worse as the brew warms up - only five minutes in and I'm already struggling to finish it. There's just something about this brew that I really don't like. By the end of the pint each sip is becoming a chore.
Mouthfeel is creamy, getting flat because of the carbonation burning everything off.
I suppose this is better than a lot of macro lagers out there, but really, is it worth it? So many Ontario sessionables I'd rather have than this...

Clear gold with a small, fast-disipating head. Clean sweet cereal nose. Light sweet body, very tasty. Good crispness. A good basic brew.

Sampled out of a can in a lager glass.
Appears right, smells a little funky (purchased within a few weeks of tasting). Not a smooth lager at all, a bit of the wrong tasting hop here sets this lager apart and not in the right way. Possesses the consistency of a glass of flat seltzer.
