Poured from a swingtop into my Stella chalice. Slightly cloudy golden/light amber color. Very little head. Smells toasty and sweet. I like the flavor of this beer a lot. I'm not sure where it gets its C rating. Sweet, nutty, toasty, and rich. Sugar cookies with raw brown sugar and almonds. Residual sweetness that piles up as you drink. Creamy and refreshing mouthfeel. I think it's a great beer. Give it a try

Golden copper with a light haze and lots of champagne like carbonation. Topped with a yellowish head that fades fast.

Fruity, yellow plums, caramel, toffee, Coopers pale ale comes to mind.

Light, malty, toffee, again Coopers pale ale, much true to form as the EPA it is listed as. Light lemony quality, hint of mustiness.

Light body with light, sparkling carbonation.

When I read 'Bionda Doppio Malto' on the label, I took this to mean its a double malted blond ale. My mind went straight to Belgium, but its certainly an EPA, and well done at that. WAY overpriced though, at about $8 US for 500ml. I could imagine paying that for some hard to find style, not so much an EPA. Found and drank in Chiang Mai, June 27th, 2015.

Pours a very foggy gold with no head. Nose is like dirty and burnt grain. Underlying sweet tone. Flavor is interesting. Has a grain-influenced sweet edge that almost brings a bit of apples to the table as well. Fairly interesting, by far from a mind blowing experience. Carbonation is decent, but on the low side. Liquid is kind of sticky. Easy to drink. But far from worth the high price.

I tried this beer at Montanos in Roanoke. It poured a golden clear with thin white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had nice hints of bitter citrus hops. The taste was nicely balanced and very easy to drink. There was bitter hop through. The Mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer and worth a try. Not sure why such a low score.

Poured from flip top, with solid tapioca coloured head. A clouded body, toasted orange in colour. A strong malty aroma. The hops a little musty. Fair enough though, nice to smell some ingredients in this style. I detect the same yeast/malt blend that came through in the others from this brewery. A fair hop presence throughout. Not much taste but what is there is pleasant enough. A dense body, good texture. Good malt/hop balance. For a macro-type lager this stays very agreeable, a big winner in my mind. Far bolder ingredients and far more noticeable craftsmanship was put into this than macro lagers. Well presented, nothing overly impressive but a great pint alternative to other Italian choices. It was enjoyed!

Pours orange golden clear ale with decent golden head, receding to a ring rather quickly. Belgian smell: fruity (citruses), yeasty. Taste is warming, spirituous, close to the smell, quite monodimensional, no hops. Medium body and soft carbonation. Ordinary belgian ale.

Bottle purchased from Green's on Ponce in Atlanta.

Pours a hazy dark copper color with a half-finger white head. The head recedes quickly into a wispy layer on top leaving light lacing.

Smells of muted caramel malts and stale bread with hints of earthy and lightly floral hops. As the beer warms the hops turn slightly toward the spicy side.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Slightly bready caramel malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by light earthy hops. Midway through the sip the hops turn slightly toward the spicy side, fading out into a moderately bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with decent carbonation.

Drinkability is OK. I didn't have the easiest time finishing my glass and I wouldn't look forward to another.

Overall this wasn't a terrible beer for the style but everything about it was muted. If any of the attributes mentioned - malts, hops, breadiness, anything - were more robust it would be a much better beer.

16.9 oz [500 ml] brown bottle with a flip top

Amarcord Birra La Mi Dona Ale poured a cloudy orange gold into my glass mug. A 1-finger white head was produced that formed a bit of lacing on the sides. The nose of the Ale is very light; of sweet malts and citrusy. The taste is a lot like the nose only stronger and that is a good thing. The flavor is dominated by sweet malts, apples light citrus and light candy sugar with no real bitterness detected. Mouth feel is a little sticky, light bodied and moderately carbonated.

La Mi Dona is perhaps the sweetest English Pale Ale I have had – although I like that. The Ale is easy drinking. Thanks to my brother-in-law for this tasting.

The beers abv is listed at 6.0% on the bottle. Poured from a 500ml swingtop bottle into a Duvel tulip glass.

Appearance: Slight haze. Nice slightly off-white head. No carbonation. Pretty orange/amber in color.

Smell: Kind of smells like an especially malty German octoberfest. Lots of caramel malt going on.

Taste: Just like the smell.

Mouthfeel: Desperately needing carbonation.

500 ml bottle.

Pours a cloudy sunset orange with a nice soft white foamy head that faded in about a minute and leaves spotty lacing.

The aroma carries a mild citrus and a pretty strong yeast smell that turns a little sweet.

Has a decent flavor of honey and citrus. The flavors are fairly mild but still present and hold through the aftertaste.

Medium body that is very smooth.

Overall this is a decent beer but nothing outstanding.

Hinged bottle from Belmont Party.

Poured a hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart citrus, yeast and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.

Good drinkable brew.

Labelled as a blond, and so she was. Most drinkable, dry, with recasonable hops. A bit fo citrus, a bit long on the yeast that added sweetness and I would think a Belgian blond and not an english pale. The more adult the picture, apparently the better the beer fom this brewery.

Got this bottle a few weeks ago at Surdyk's in Minneapolis. I poured it fairly aggresively and got a small to medium cream colored head that mostly settles out and a tiny bit of lace. Color is a hazy medium amber. Aroma is beery, lemony, a little cherry, malt, a a bit of caramel. Flavor's similar with an astringent chalky finish. Body is pretty good and has a short fizziness on the tongue. Not bad beer. Maybe a session. A little boozy at the very end.

A: Cloudy gold with minimal carbonation. Rocky off-white head sticks around for a minute and then settles to a thin film. Leaves spots of lace.

S: Fruit and biscuits are mostly what I smelled. Apple is the main aroma, with some yeasty notes in the background.

T: The smell transfers into the taste. Dry and bready malt upfront, followed a by a fruity bitterness of tart apples. Finishes fairly clean.

M: Medium light body is a tough chewy and has the right amount of fizz.

D: An average beer to me. Decent for a session, but not worth the premium price.

Poured from the bottle a clear orange gold with a thin beige head.

Aroma of sweet malts, apples, light citrus, and candy sugar.

The taste is very sweet malts, apples, biscuit, and a hint of citrus. Similar to some ales I've had from Eastern Europe.

Light bodied, sticky, and moderately carbonated.

An average English Pale ale at best.
