It pours with a fast-forming and somewhat slowly-dissipating head. The colour is a rich, albeit a bit pale, chestnut brown... just like a local stream or... unsurprisingly, maple syrup.
It smells much like it tastes. A bit sweet, and not too rich.
The taste is a bit too sweet for me. It's very similar to a now apparently retired maple beer I had in Quebec a couple of years ago (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/14501/44481). As the bottle goes on, though, it gets better. It's not bad, it's just not my kind of thing. It does have a bit of creaminess, but that sweet accent is just too strong for me to really enjoy it fully.
For the head that was there, it's surprisingly not very bubbly in the mouth. It is fairly smooth with a dry finish. An almost sour sweetness (like toned-down rhubarb) lingers.
Pretty drinkable, especially for a beer style that isn't my favourite.

Poured from a 500ml. A really nice dark amber/reddish brown ale. Small head with absolutly no retention. Sweet smelling beer with the maple on the forefront. Picaroons swund for the fences again and unfortunatly missed. The taste is sweet malts and a burnt caramel. Mouth is dry and sticky. Overall, Picaroons is a solid brewery who take chances and brew what others in Canada might be scared to try. I solute them for that.

Picaroons Maple Cream (Seasonal)
Batch# 1351
A - Translucent Golden Brown. Literally looks like Maple Syrup. 1 finger head dies quite quickly, leaving some good lacing.
S - Milky Creamy Lactic smell, hint of Maple Syrup.
T - Malty cream flavour throughout the mouth, tastes somewhat like coffee cream. Sweet Maple flavour very apparent in aftertaste.
M - Creamy, mild carbonation. Finishes somewhat dry.
D - A great seasonal craft brew. A delicious spring treat and a must try for those who love anything to do with Maple Syrup. Coffee Cream taste might make it hard to put down several of these, but it's great for a treat.

Serving Type: 1.89L (64 oz.) Growler
A- Pours a clear brown colour that looks identical to Maple Syrup. 1 finger creamy white head that doesn't stick around too long. A little bit of lacing on the glass.
S- Sweet, creamy syrup smell. A little bit of molasses
T- Malt and cream on the forefront. Maple aftertaste quite prominent.
M- Smooth with low carbonation
O- Maple Cream was my first maple flavoured beer and I have to say that I am fairly impressed. I don't think I would bother getting a growler full of the stuff again but I could see a single bottle being a great idea in the future (if they decide to bottle it again). A little too much on the sweet side for a casual beer but it is a nice treat in the spring of the year.

I was excited to try this beer, however it was a bit flat for my liking, I was expecting a creamy head, but head dissipated quickly, taste was just ok
