A: Nice pub-atmosphere - slightly dark, cozy and very warm in the winter. They used to have one of the best outdoor decks in Fredericton, but construction on the Convention Centre has really limited their deck area, unfortunately.

Service: Never have had any real problems with it... some of the servers there know their beer (and scotch) quite well, at least what they carry.

Selection: They carry a few each of Pump House and Picaroons beers, plus the usual suspects. It'd be nice to see some more, but at least they're still supporting NB microbrews.

Food: Decent eats as well... very good pub food, and some actual good selections outside of that as well (pasta and seafood dishes usually do quite well).

Value is also about what you'd expect for a pub. Overall one of the better options for drinking and eating in Fredericton.

Vibe- Comfortable and cozy indoors. Tables are quite close to one another and as annoying as it might be sometimes, it has fostered a lot of table to table conversation (making a great pub atmosphere). In the summer, the patio offers a good spot to socialize outside. Not a big space but definitely adequate.

Quality- I have been to The Lunar Rogue many times and I've never had any quality issues concerning the beer (or other beverages) nor the food. The beer is always cold (or the appropriate temperature) and no issues flavour wise (tap lines are apparently cleaned regularly).

Service- Every server that I've had has been nothing but the best: Friendly, patient and most importantly... knowledgeable. I often test out a servers skills by asking them what they recommend for a beer and every time I've asked at the Rogue, I've gotten great answers and many servers have given suggestions based on what I planned to order for food... impressive.

Selection - Like any bar that wants to make money with a wide audience, The Lunar Rogue carries the typical macro beers but thankfully, 80% of their beer offerings are craft beers from New Brunswick or otherwise. For those of you that are whiskey drinkers, you should know that The Lunar Rogue has an incredibly diverse range of literally hundreds of bottles.

Food- The food is always excellent and delicious. Typical pub fare as to be expected but pasta and seafood dishes are also available.

A nice beer bar/club in the downtown area. we visited due to the fact that they are the de facto taphouse for the local Picaroons Brewery.

A nice place on the insdie full of polished wood and that old time feeling. Very nice full bar that dominates the room.

About 20 taps with half or so being devoted to regional and Canadian micros. The other half are Canadian mainstreams and other "popular" beers!

We had lunch here and it was all wuite good. I had the Rogue Burger since I was craving a hunk of beef after being a piscivore for the better part of 10 days! C had a dinner salad that was HUGE and quite tasty.

Serivce was pleasant and speedy with the staff taking an interest in the fact that we came "all the way here" just to try the Picaroons beers.

BTW...if you are a Scotch lover this place is a MUST visit. The owner is a certified Scotch coniseur and has acquired over 200 bottles! All of which are available to sample, for a price of course! I think the oldest I saw there was around 75 years old!

A really nice place and certainly should be on your to do list if you ever find yourself in Fredericton.

Had a conference in Fredericton and we seemed to keep coming back to the Rogue each night. The seem to concentrate mostly with local beers, in fact 95% of their beer menu were beers from NB or the Montreal/Toronto areas. They had lots of Picaroons, some Pump House, St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout, Gritstone Ale, Rickards, Keith's, Clancy's, and Moosehead. It looked like they occasionally carried Bud Light or Coors Light, but not while I was there. The BMC of Canada was Moosehead or Labatt's Blue (which they also had).

The service was awesome. My first night there, I asked for something local and good and ended up with Picaroons Best Bitter, which was just an all around great beer. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive and loads of fun. The bar does seem to concentrate more on Scotch, as they are one of the top 10 whisky bars in the world, but their local beer selection just amazed me.

I had food twice, fish and chips and poutine. The food was good (though poutine wasn't really for me). I do wish they had some more American beers, but I didn't see any at any of the other bars I visited. So I think that might be a distribution thing more than what they carry. It was nice not to see Bud everywhere though.

Looks like this is the spot for a few local micros and the exclusive Molson Pale Ale draught while in Freddy Beach.

They have a decent sized outdoor area, which is probably going to be pretty full if the weather is decent. We chose to sit inside, since it wasn't really that warm.

I did notice that there weren't any stools at the bar, standing room only? The interior was very cozy, and Maritimesqe.

I tried a Picaroons Best Bitter, and a Molson Pale Ale Draught, both were fresh from the tap, and very tasty.

It was nacho night, so we ordered a few. They were very good, and stacked to the sky. Easily a meal all by themselves. The wings and ribs were average, not bad, just not great.

This is a place you'll want to check out while in Fredericton. They have some great regional micros (see website) and the waitstaff is very friendly and easy to talk to. They are eager to give you tips and point you in the right direction, even if you are an out of town yankee.

The Lunar Rogue has been on the corner of King and Regent Streets in Fredericton for a long time. It is the place to meet friends and make new aquaintences. These guys have been famous for their pub fair for a long time. Its still great food in a "real pub" atmosphere. A small but great outdoor sidewalk patio to enjoy that warm Fredericton summer sunshine. The Rogue has good efficient service that is warm and friendly - very Maritime Canadian. A good choice in beer, too. All the usual Canadian beer but there are always 9 or 10 on tap. This is one of the few places in the world where you can get Picaroons beer.

Picaroons is only available on tap. Brewed in Fredericton in a small craft microbrewery Picaroons provides some of the pubs in New Brunswick with their fair. On tap at the Lunar Rogue are usually two or three like Picaroons' Irish Red or Best Bitter.

This is also one of the few places you can get "real" Moosehead Lager on tap. There are not that many places that carry it and Moosehead does not ship it outside of New Brunswick. It is the best of the Moosehead named beers.

The Lunar Rogue is a must stop when in Fredericton. Odds are that if you are in Fredericton on business the folks you are visiting will take you there anyway.
