Cask at Charlies, Copenhagen, Denmark.
The colour is yellow-gold, the liquid is clear. The airy finger thick head sinks slowly leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell is somewhat tart-fruity. Sweet malt and some sour fruit candy.
The taste is sweet and a bit buttery. Some earthy notes, too. Sour candy. Medium body. The aftertaste is not as sweet. Passing cream-butter, cookie dough and some bitterness. Watery orange juice and bullion in the finish.
The carbonation is very light, almost non-existing. The liquid is light.
A bit too sweet. I didn’t really get this beer.

I don't like doing this, but it has to be said.
I think this beer is produced by Adnams (who's other beers I love)to try and get lager drinkers away from cold tasteless, colourless lager. To do this, they have produced a Real Ale which is almost colourless and tasteless.
It is straw blond in colour and looks from a distance like a lager, having a white head also, so the advertising man is happy!. It just does nothing for me, there is no aroma, taste or anything else which would let you know it was a beer from Adnams.
It is only produced in the summer, when Southwold is full of tourists and the Londoners who have bought half of the village as second homes, maybe they drink it.

Pours golden with orange highlights. Minor dull white scattered head that still deposited sheets of lace on the glass.
Aroma of pale malt, citurs, grass, perfumy and floral hops.
Flavor of sweet pale malt, heavy buttery diacteyl hit with a floral, perfumed and resined bitter note.
Mouthfeel is fairly sweet and citrusy to start moving to a mineral water and gritty middle and a lightly bittered finish.
Drinkability is OK, cleraly not thier best offering IMHO but still pleasant.

I like this beer a lot, it's such a same it's only available in the summer. Appearance... it's a pale straw colour, with a milky complexion until it settles down. Then you notice the hop aroma, just right for the weight. There's not much malt flavour there, but I like that. Frankly, I could drink it all day, and have!
