- wondefully fresh raspberry smell
- lighter taste than the smell suggests, clean, tart, refreshing

This is what you want for a summer seasonal; fruity ( lots of Raspberry on the nose and the intial taste. The colour is a pinkish red colour with a pinkish head. The beer has a nice moutnfeel though not too complex but in reality this beer works for the style. A salute to Summer.

Brand new seasonal from Granville Island, and once again they don't disappoint. Lovely deep pink colour, almost like a darker Schweppe's raspberry ginger ale. Thin white head. Lacks the cloudiness of most wheat ales.

Oh boy, can you ever smell the raspberries. There's no mistaking what went into this beer. Reminds of the Sun Rype raspberry juice I used to drink as a kid. Raspberry dominates, and is sweetened somewhat by the malt. Very little hops, some citrus. No spice, corriander or cloves that one usually find in wheat beer.

Rapberries dominate the taste, but there are definite wheat hints in there. Not as sweet as I expected after taking in the scent. Raspberry and malted wheat dominate. Very slight hop bitterness. Traces of corriander hidden behind all of this. Certainly not overly sweet like an alcopop and there is no alcoholic bite. Very drinkable and easy on the tongue.

Lovely beer, very well done. Wasn't sure whether to class this as a wheat beer or fruit beer. Regardless, I hope they brew this again and it is good to say GI experimenting with new beers. Skip the lemon with this wheat beer!

A few days into winter (Christmas Eve) and we're clearing out room in the cellar... Found this nice, refreshing-sounding summer 'Limited Release' in a case in the basement, a neglected souvenir of our August trip to Victoria, British Columbia. Emptied this 650ml bottle into two standard pints, so my wife and I could share. How has it held up for 4 months?

A: Pours a distinctive pinkish-orange, a light fizzy fruit punch. Topped with a 1/2 finger of spritzy whiteness, which disappears in seconds. Enough rising carbonation, but an unfortunate amount of floating/settling dark tidbits and only the scarcest hints at lace. Probably evidence of me letting this sit awhile, so I won't detract too much...

S: Likable sweet/tart aroma of raspberries (what else?) and yeast, fairly bold. There really isn't much more complexity than that...

T: A rather tasty flavor of lightly tart pureed berries and a doughy bread yeast maltiness. Really biscuity.

M: Good carbonation, light and clean. It's refreshingly simple and slides down easily. Gassiness is a little high, but I can't complain too much when burps taste vaguely of delicious raspberries.

D: Low ABV and high drinkability. Man, I'll bet this is terrific in the midst of that gorgeous BC summer. Even now, it's good and fun to drink, considering all that rainy chill outside. Worth a try and one I'd grab again (and would make sure to drink a little sooner...)

A very smoky, dusty taste to it. Not bad, just a little odd. I've never had anything else like it.
