I'd rate this overall 0 if I could

look: looks decent, pours golden yellow with a decent white pillowy head with a bit of retention.
smell: smells like wet, dirty socks and a beef smell which is really gross. I mean REALLY gross
taste: it's watery but what I CAN tastier it is just garbage. tastes like mold and wet cardboard.
feel: watery, not a lot of carbonation on the tongue. Just feels sad.
overall: garbage beer. I can't believe the semi-positive reviews of this beer on here because I regretted my purchase the moment I took my first taste.

I've been switching back and forth between craft beers and good ol' AALs lately. I picked this up on a whim just because.
My initial reaction was "What the hell did they use to make this?" However, the more sips I took and swished around a little bit I started to like it. The head disappears almost immediately. The carbonation never quits. As others have noted it does have a malt liquor kinda feel to it.For it's price and taste, though,it isn't bad. Perfect on a summer day when you just want to knock one back.

For a cheap 6'er of pints, you cant beat it. It's better than Natty or Busch or Stones in referance to price range. The initial taste is slightly bitter but not lasting like an IPA and the after taste is decent. This beer could defenetly be my go to from now on when I dont feel like splurging for crafts.

I’m sitting in a cabin in Dobbins California. It is 100 degrees outside and no air conditioning inside. I picked up this beer at Walmart because it was less than $4 for a six-pack. Didn’t expect much but it turned out to be a really easy drinkable beer. Light, crisp flavor that’s not watered down; a refreshing true AAL. I’m a craft beer drinker but this was very nice today. Now going to start working on them bbq hamburgers

In order to rate an AAL properly, you have to either transport yourself to a world where only AALs exist, otherwise known as like, 1978, or apply “element” scoring, like in figure skating and say that due to degree of difficulty or imagination, an AAL can only be as high as say, 3.5 in each category. All that being said, I went 3.5 across the board because when you compare this to all others, it pretty much beats them all. Nose is slightly sugary and corny, but has a decent enough balance to fool you into thinking its somewhere between a German pils and a Dortmunder. Taste drags you back to reAALity, but what separates this from the pack is a non-watery crispness and a taste that stays consistent throughout different temps. Taste in and of itself is balanced with a touch of sweetness (corn a bit) and bitter with a crisp, nothing cloying at all exit. Honestly, for style it’s about the best I’ve had. Certainly worth the $4.28 for a sixer of pints, absolutely my new lawn mower beer

Rockdale Classic brewed by City Brewing Company, LLC, with an ABV of 5.00% This American Adjunct Lager pours out a nice golden amber color with a small white head. Really thin spotty lacing to this brew. This brew was pour in a pint beer from a 24oz tall can. The smell is lots of grains and malts with mild hop bitterness. Rockdale has the look an smell of most American Adjunct Lagers on the market, not saying that is a bad thing. Now for the taste, it is rich with gains and malts. There is a nice sharp notes at the end. Nothing to write home about but not a bad beer for the price. For being a American Adjunct Lager it not to bad, not complaints on my end. We all know what we are getting into when you buy this brew. I really enjoy how nice this brew goes down. The body of Rockdale is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. This brew would go nice on a warm summer day. The mouth feel is Rich , Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I'm going to give Rockdale Classic a 3.50 out of 5. I would look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. City Brewing Company, LLC, did a nice job with this American Adjunct Lager.

Drank from a 16 ounce can. Scores are based on the style.

Look - The can looks like a cheap knock off of Coors. Not an attractive can, you won't look cool holding this.

Smell - Roast beef? This is bizarre.

Taste - A slightly sour front taste followed by a bready malt. Taste is gone almost immediately after swallowing. Not that bad, doesn't taste like roast beef like the smell would lead you to believe.

Feel - The typical thin body you'd expect from an adjunct lager with a mild fizzy carbonation. Drinks fairly easily.

Overall - After randomly picking up a six pack from Walmart for $4, I'm surprised at the quality of this. It's fairly decent.

At first I thought it was a new Coors original can. Nope completely different company. It's really good considering it's under 6.00 for a six pack

From the 22 oz. can with an expiration date of Feb 17, 2019. Sampled on April 21, 2018.

The style requires that it looks yellow with a fizzy head and it does. Good clarity.

The aroma begins with a sweet and grainy note but there is also a kind of overcooked corn or potato mash character in there. Grassy hops.

Light and refreshing body.

The taste is just not up to par with a corn mash grainy sweetness with a buttery character around the edges. Fairly clean finish. It is unlikely that I will ever drink this one again.

I picked it up at local Wal Mart for $1.26 for a 16oz can. I was cutting grass today so wanted something easy to drink. It poured a light pale yellow color with no real smell to it. The taste was watered down with a sweet weak malt flavor. Overall not good but it was what I thought it would be.

Bought from Walmart as a tall-boy. Enjoyed at 50F from a widemouth class.
Color is honey-amber with very good clarity. No head. High carbonation, correct for the style.
Taste is American adjunct, with rice or corn fermentable base --cant tell which.
No significant hop flavor. Good balanced bitterness and sweet malt liquor-like flavor.
Its a damn shame, they don't choose a hop profile to carry the grain-bill for this beer. I think they could make something genuinely special if they did.
Its a $1.25 tall boy with 5% abv --not a craft brew. The simple truth is that it should probably get higher marks given the competitors swill offering in this category.
A very good American Adjunct.

It was a cold winter night, I was traveling thru on the interstate, just spending the night at a hotel in Gadsden, Al (which actually has a craft brewery in town). There was a Walmart next door and I was desperate for a beer. This was a very cheap beer - $1.49 a pint! So I wan't expecting much but for a AAL is wasn't half bad. I would compare it favorably to most of the big name brands.

A solid competitor in the AAL market for the price. I love draining the pint cans on my days off, and it doesn't bust the budget. A winner.

The cheapest beer in Walmart ($1.36 for 24 oz.). A pale golden color with very thin head. Tastes ok. But I'd prefer to spend a few cents more and get something else.
